Career mode is broken right now.

Doing Arsenal career mode with sliders adjusted for slower, more deliberate play. Most of the season was ok. Get into March/April, now I've played these teams - Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Sporting in the champions league. Lost all of these games, and in the exact same manner: other team pressing me so perfectly that i cant play out of my own half, any time i pass more than 2 yards its intercepted, when I tackle a player, they either beast through it or the ball bounces out to another player on their team, all of my attacks are cut out in the final third and then they counter attack me perfectly (regardless of team and play style) and usually score with one player in my final third, four to five defenders be damned.... all of this with nothing changing in my settings or the game itself, it just.... decides i have to lose. BTW, if i simming games I tend to win, so idk whats going on there.

I thought the update was supposed to fix some of these specific issues? I genuinely notice no positive changes this update, if any changes at all.

Same problem, game is broken.... before the patch it was alright, but now it's totally broken. CPU cheating , intercepting like a cheating god and perfect dribbeling and aim when shooting. I have like 16 shots 2 goals they got like max 3 shots and 2 goals ...

EA will never change so don't expect fixes from this cheap ass terrible, kissing trumps ass company.

I've noticed that the game play in Career has indeed shifted slightly AI-wise...but on the bright side, it appears that headers have now been fixed - a bonus!

what difficulty? i play on world class any other above are just enabling AI cheating if you ask me and not worth it , this is especially true on champions league matches , the AI tend to be scripted with the ball rebounds opponent s favour and do exactly like you described rebound go to the opponent all that BS , impossible to tackle even from the front all that nonsense , luckily they seems to miss their shots a lot on world class , but any difficulties above world class they will make perfect dribble zig zag through defenders and move like super human and scores.

if you find it hard on world class and could be your players are too low on OVR.

the game is massively scripted on champions league matches teams with low OVR could play like barcelona or real with ♥♥♥♥ 70 + OVR simply because they are in champions league. its stupid ,and final/semi final league matches will also have the same problem, it is to make thing harder since its important matches but you can feel the BS all around. GK making impossible superman ultra fast blocks for example, my last match i had a 77 OVR GK made 14 saves on 18 shots ....SURE!!!. and BTW it was west ham ...

I noticed the same problem.. just had a cupmatch Leverkusen(me)-RB Leipzig(AI), had the hardest time EVER to play that match.. previous match in competition I won against them with 4-2, and now it was like I played against some esporter.. the speed is fxcked, the passing is fxcked.. the whole gameplay is fxcked... as much as I love soccer/football, every year the game gets more worse and I tend to spend less and less hours into it.. even doubting if I'd buy the next game..

I do not know honestly. In the beginning I played on classic, which means that all sliders were locked on 50%, now I unlocked it to adjust things myself, but havent done anything yet..

I have played most ridiculous match in players career mode ever. Difficulty level is professional. I have 89 OVR ST under control with maxed everything related to attack but all 7 1-on-1 with opponent GK were handled by AI like in some type of god mode. Then same GK got goal from his teammate (OG). This looks like some cheap and stupid soap opera. I don't understand why it was changed but current difficulty level are unpredictable and current settings have nothing to do with settings one month ago.
