Fixing FC25 (FPS, Delay and etc)

Like many, I have been struggling with this year's release of FC25. At first, I gave up but after a couple of hours of screwing around with settings and such I think I may have found a solution that may work for some of you.

First of all, before we get into the game itself we need to make sure we do a few things outside of the game before we can get into the smaller in-game settings we need to set up a few things.

1. This may be an issue with my PC but I had to install the game on a separate drive rather than keeping the game on my main OS drive.
   
2. Update all drives, GPU being the most important.
   
3. Open the folder where the game is installed and open the properties of FC25.exe
   
4. Compatibility - enable Disable fullscreen optimizations and Run this program as an administrator

After doing all of that the next step is setting up NVIDIA Control Panel. Open it up and go to Manage 3D settings and under Program Settings make sure to pick Fc25 if you don't see it you will need to manually add it by pressing add.

Image Scaling: Off
Anisotropic filtering: Off
Antialiasing - FXAA: Off
Antialiasing - Gamma correction: Off
Antialiasing - Mode: off
Antialiasing - Setting: off
Antialiasing - Transparency: off
Background Application Max Frame Rate: 90 FPS
CUDA - GPUs: All
CUDA - Sysmem Fallback Policy: Driver Default
Low Latency Mode: Ultra
Max Frame Rate: 90
Multi-Frame Sampled AA (MFAA): Off
OpenGL GDI compatibility: Auto
OpenGL rendering GPU: Auto-Select
Power management mode: Max Performance
Preferred refresh rate: Application-cntrolled
Texture filtering - Anisotropic sample opti ...: On
Texture filtering - Negative LOD bias: Allow
Texture filtering - Anisotropic sample opti ...: On
Texture filtering - Negative LOD bias: Allow
Texture filtering - Quality: High performance
Texture filtering - Trilinear optimization: On
Threaded optimization: Auto
Triple buffering: Off
Vertical sync: Off
Virtual Reality pre-rendered frames: 1
Vulkan/OpenGL present method: Auto

The game being set to 90 fps is very important and it will make sure the game caps at a good fps where the game itself will not die, I have tried to run the game at a higher fps but the delay seems to kick in more often if running above 90 fps, at least for me.

After this we can finally get into the game settings itself. First off I can really recommend using a controller with the cable. I have tried both and have to say that the game feels better when using the controller with a cable.

Ingame Settings (Visual): Settings not listed are not important and should be changed to how you like

PlayStyle+: Off
Player Based Diff...: Off
Precision Pass...: Off
Precision Shot...: Off
HyperMotion Insight...: Off
Tactical Chalk...: Off
Tactical Sugg...: Off
Underfoot: Disabled

Display Configuration: This is the most important tab
Res: Use whatever native you have
Display Mode: Windowed Borderless - You want to use this as there is a issue with the game running in fullscreen mode and not using the proper Refresh Rate
Frame Rate: No Limit on fps this makes it so it uses the Nvidia settings rather then EA FC
Vertical Sync: Off
Dynamic Res: Off

The rest of the settings depend on you PC. I am using:
Cutscene Quality: Half frame Rate
Strand Based Hair: Off
Rendering Quality: High
Grass Quality: High
Crowd Quality: High
Cloth Quality: Low
Ambient Occlusion Quality: Low
Motion Blur Quality: Off

I know this won't work for everyone but I hope that some of you can use this settings and have there game run smoother and make the gameplay experience at least a little better.

tried it and it worked for 2 games, thought that finaly fixxed my stuttering and input delay, but after a while the input delay got so extreme, dunno why, now i got back to old settings and input delay is slightly better but stuttering is back. EA pls fix this game

you can help me? i have problem "el sabado compre el fifa 25, pero al momento de jugar no es que tenga lag en si, si no que da una especie de lag y todo pasa muy lento y mi personajes no responden, porterior a eso y luego de 10 o 15 segundos "se arregla" y veo todo lo que paso en el partido de un momento a otro, luego de 20 segundo o a veces inmediatamente vuelve a pasar, chekie y no son los controladores graficos. tampoco es problemas de internet, asi mismo tengo una 1660 de 6gb y un amd 7 5700x y 32 de ram, con esas especificaciones y al menimo no deberia tener problema alguno"

Maybe you have the game installed on HDD? The newer Fifa games need faster Storage like an SDD or M2.

tengo el mismo problema, tengo una 6600 y deberia poder jugar el juego en calidad alta, pero aun con todo bajo el juego me va mal. Me pega como bajones de fps en los que no me responde el joystick y luego va todo rapido. Estoy desesperado por saber que pasa, por lo que si encontras alguna solucion avisa pls

Bro do u know anything to make the game, at least, playable for me? i have an rx 6600 so no nvidia settings will help since its amd. Also, i cant find the infamous folder that, in theory, i have to erase in order to play the game without this issue. At this point i am on my knees for some help or solution

its just the game man. I tried an nvidia driver 4 versions old and all my stutters dissapeared. The game is just fully unoptimized.

560.94 with 144hz ingame, no fps limit and no vsync in game. I use gsync and vsync in nvidia control panel and all my stutters went away.

na i still have stuttering playing online, no matter what config i try, always the same result

Same thing IS happening for me, the Game IS like my players cannot dribble, the passes are all later, and If I run probably I Will stomp with their cb. My controller IS like not responding, I dont know what can I do...
