Why does a ps3 era game require a 2070
Seriously, did they do anything beside upscale a few textures?

This gonna be gta 4 levels of trash optimization

It's supposedly using DX12 and DLSS, which cards before the 900 series didn't support. Honestly, if that was mentioned more often, I think there would be a lot less confusion about the specs.

Makes me wonder what have they done to the game, or have they barely touched the spaghetti code

They ran the textures through ai filters and are rubbing the game in an Xbox 360 emulator

I doubt they even upscaled the textures since the total size in only 12 GB ..... That tells me the game has 256 textures with a few 512 textures throw in.

For instance to upgrade the 256 and 512 textures in AC III to 1K textures in AC III Remastered it increased the game size from 14.2 GB to 45.2 GB because 1K textures are 4 times the size of 512 and 16 times the size of 256

I mean, they're not claiming it's a remaster. And honestly, would you WANT this game to be taking up more space than it needs to? That same remaster you mentioned also ended up having more bugs than the original, and the characters' faces's shadows were destroyed by the new lighting engine. I'll be one of the few people to say that the less they actually touch of this game, the better it is perhaps. The more you change, the more you can break.

Just gonna hope its well optimized so it can perform well on Low End PC’s. And to perform the best it can on Modern PC’s.

The 2070 is ludicrous for a game that looks like it came out 20 years ago. Crysis (2007) looks infinitely better and nowadays even a potato can max it out. This reeks of no optimization.

What makes it even funnier is RDR2 recommends a GTX 1060

A 1060 CAN max it out, but only at 30fps in 1080p. Which makes it worthless. Action games are terrible at below 60fps.

Either it has Ray-tracing or DLSS

I am in wait and see mode. If it gets trashed by a majority of gamers in the reviews upon release, I will probably wait for a deep sale to buy it at a deep discount eventually. If it has favorable reviews, then I'll probably buy it at full price. Just because I'm such a huge fan of RDR2, so I gotta play the original! (never have played the first game - am not a console gamer)

maybe because, 14years ago, this game ran at 640p @ 25 FPS @ Low settings ?

lol

You didn't get the point - if they didn't touch the game and by looking at pics at the store page, they didn't, then why a 15 years old game needs RTX 2070 to run it!?!

at any rate nobody with a sane mind is gonna acquire it through legal mean. it's a cash grab that is sightly dancing on the rope of legitimacy.

do not fool yourself rockstar is doing this 100% for the money not because fans asked for it.

the port is gonna be awfull to the brim, mark my words the review are going to be full of delulded disappointed folks.
