Will it support more than 60FPS?
Announced that the game will support up to 144Hz. I assume this automatically means the game will run at 144FPS? Am I wrong?

Unfortunately, it won’t support 240Hz, but I hope it won’t cause any significant issues.

I hope you're right. I read that it will either be capped at 60 FPS or we’ll get at least 144 FPS, given that they promised a 144Hz refresh rate. Who knows if it actually works like that.

But does 144Hz automatically mean 144FPS?

It is implied that the fps can reach 144 fps if you have the right specs.

Thanks. I was concerned that we might get a game locked at 60 FPS, similar to what happened with other titles ported to PC from consoles. A good example of this is Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, which had the issue.

I don't think Black Flag was advertised for anything beyond 60hz, at least I couldn't find anything on this. With RDR, Rockstar themselves said 144hz, as shown here on the store page. It would be odd to advertise 144hz, but be locked to 60. We shall see in a few weeks time if they were telling the truth.
