Anyone think there will be a multiplayer mod?
Idk anything about modding, but I wonder if they left the code for multiplayer in the game or not and if modders could add it back in? Would be cool even if was locally hosted only. Servers would be really cool too. It’s such a shame they didn’t include the multiplayer.

I dunno if its possible, I heard this version is a port of the PS4 version and that port is from the Xbox 360 version lol They would have to build the infrastructure and then do something like what FiveM did so I highly doubt it will happen unfortunately.

RDR2 Suxx (not a play on words, as in "it's actually good" -- no. RDR2 is not good compared to the First RDR -- and even that wasn't as fun as the Original RDR, with its Split-Screen Multplayer. That was Fun.
It would be fun to relive the Undead Nightmare Multi-player, though. :)

Probably not. Best solution is to play on PS3 for free online or get Xenia Netplay and start your own server, - that is a pain though.

I'm gonna assume you never played the original RDR1 online. So much better than RDR2 online. RDR2 online is micro transaction trash.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is a genuinely good game and so was Red Dead Redemption. I don't know what you're smoking but you're wrong. Red Dead Redemption and Red Dead Redemption have been some of the best games Rockstar Games have ever made and are, in my opinion, the best narrative experiences they have made since Grand Theft Auto IV.

They were referring to each games respective multiplayer mode.

RDR1's multiplayer was better imo but Rockstar doesn't care cause they can't monetize it to the extent they do with GTA Online and  RDR Online

I think an unofficial multiplayer mod is possible for RDR PC, in the vein of GTA:SA MP per example

But that'd take a while to do and nowadays there's the risk of a cease and desist from greedy Rockstar
What was the online mode like when this game had it on 360 or whatever?

In the vein of GTA4 multiplayer but better with more fun things to do, and the ability to play characters from the singleplayer

more free form than most. It is very similar functionally to GTA5's offerings only it was better packed. It had an in-lobby posse system with the full open world of the single player, challenges, about 30 game modes including horse racing, poker, Undead overrun and co-op missions, all with a more complete levelling system with a similar prestige system to older call of duty's. though i would say most people would posse up and complete Gang Hideouts together.

As stated before, the MP offering didnt really have any MTX and was a complete experience, so it wouldnt exist today

Anything is possible. GTA San Andreas got a multiplayer mod called SAMP decades ago. Which is a game that was never intended to have multiplayer outside of the console exclusive splitscreen mode. GTA3 had its cut multiplayer mode restored via mods.

RDR1's MP was better than 2's. Esp since it didn't require you to buy microtransactions.

I think its only a matter of time

gta 4, Vice City and gta 5 all have Multiplayer Mods, where you can play the whole game
