UN - Early Semi-Auto Shotgun

I've been replaying Undead Nightmare recently and enjoying it, even though it is lacking the Multi-Player Mode... :(

I read on the RedDead Wiki that the Semi-Auto Shotgun is primarily acquired from Campaign Mission Progression, but that apparently it can also be acquired earlier in the game -- rather than having to wait till Final Mission.
It specifies that the weapon could possibly be acquired from a Distressed Survivor around thereabouts just North of the "Frontera Bridge".
...
However, I spent the better part of the entire day yesterday searching,, and only ever find people using Revolvers/Repeaters. I keep going back and fourth from just off the bridge in Mexico to doubling back to a rock formation in Gaptooth Ridge (just outside of the Rio Bravo) and then circling around to a fork in the road just south of Plainview. ... I'm primarily staying within this region, just North of the Frontera Bridge -- but no luck.

Is it possible to get the Semi-Auto Shotgun *EARLY* in Undead Nightmare, or am I just wasting my time?

According to the article, it's possible ... but, since it's been featured with Steam,, did they update / change this? Can you still get it? >.<

Yeah if you use the weapon cheat. The only way to get it is in the tunnel in the final mission unfortunately legitimate wise.

iRan in circles for hours around that area a few days worth of attempts in a row ...
...andFinally! iCame across a person who seemed to be wielding the Semi-Auto Shotgun! As I approached him, he put it away. ...and I never saw it again... :(
