Please help me find beavers!

I am trying to do the Deadalus and Son quest, for which I need 5 beaver skins, and I just cannot find a beaver ANYWHERE!

I have looked up youtube videos, and looked at webpages that suggest where i can go, but whatever I do, there are NO beavers anywhere!

Where i have looked, so far:
Along the river at Aurora Point
Along the north rover at Great Plains
Along the river at the Wreck of the Serendipity

Where are the beavers??? I am spending so much time looking, I just want to give up! Can anybody help me by suggesting a place where they have found beavers, in the 2024 version of this game? PLEASE!

Are you fast travelling to the places and looking? I feel like loading into an area, it has no wildlife at first, and then it spawns in over time. You might not be giving them long enough to spawn.

I just did this last week, but all I remember is that I was in a snowy area and NOT near water, because I remember thinking it was silly that there were beavers in the snow and nowhere near water. So it was somewhere in Tall Trees probably, but not right by Aurora Basin. Closer to Manzanita Post.

I think it is called Bear claw camp? A couple of story missions visit there. A lot of beaver spawns there.

The area just a touch east of the railroad camp has beaver spawns.

Nothing! Have the beavers gone extinct?! That's 4 hours of my life I aint gonna get back, but Thanks again for helping!

I had the same issue, beavers are oddly difficult: what worked best for me was a Golden Currant bush north of (when zoomed in) the "i" in Great Plains, halfway between the rails and the water. Seemed to like spawning and baiting around there.

There are a bazillion beavers along the coast in west Elizabeth. They are on the plateau overlooking the water (not down on the actual shoreline). I usually get them at night (sometimes night and day matters when hunting). You will kill so many beavers there you won’t know what to do with all the furs (except get rich).

There will also be a bazillion wolves that spawn there as well. they will kill your horse and knock you off it as well, so be careful and bring the semi automatic shotgun, the Mauser and the high powered pistol.

Red Sage. You can find it in the area around Fort Mercer.
