rockstar looks like a greedy publisher, their discounts are mediocre even for ancient games like GTA IV or this one, i mean this is steam winter sale and just 20% off?
cant blame them, the only relevant thing they have is GTA V RDR1,2 and that it, what? max payne? abandoned, LA noire and bully that's all they have so they must milk RDR and GTA series as much as possible.
Meanwhile plenty of other games in the library.
either way, it's hardly a new or innovative game and people are mostly buying for nostalgia, so really hard to actually justify the price, unless you have a lot of money to waste and just don't care.
I would check HumbleBundle or Fanatical if looking for sales/bundles generally as they are some of the only remaining legit bundle/sale site for steam games I think, most of the others died out or just suck at this point (looking at you indiegala.)
if you're on a budget, these sites are great for getting legit keys and not grey market, though your at the whims of the bundles depending on what you get, but there's always new and quality stuff if you keep an eye out for it.
if you're looking for pricing for something specific, check out isthereanydeal as this is an aggregator site that tracks and compares game prices. to note, this WILL include grey market (not quite legal) keys as well, so these are far cheaper, but have a risk of being revoked from your library at any given time.
you can use it to see any ongoing sales though from the big, reputable sites and compare it with the greatest discounts for the product so it's very helpful still.
My last 2 cents. While I liked it on the PlayStation. I'm loving it on the PC. I prefer the mouse/keyboard control for foot action. I still use a game pad for horseback. The same setup I use for GTA games.
Even Dark Souls Remastered (and it wasn't much of one...) is full price $40 and they gave previous owners 50% off on that price.
