If you never click undead nightmare, you will never encounter zombies. Its Totally Seperate from the main game.

1. Normal
2. Hardcore
3. Undead Nightmare <---------DO NOT SELECT THIS-------------

Edit: Also this game is like 10-15 years old. So................Not sure what to tell you. I guess its alot like movies in the late 70's and early 80's that always had that 5-10 second <blank> shot.

Edit2: But if you are asking about the Philosophical considerations. Well, death frightens people. They fear to go quietly into that Dark Night. And that Dark Night rising from its Grave and hungering for their life, intesenfies the Fears. At least thats my thoughts on the matter (from all of the 2 minutes I considered it). I am going to go get a cookie while you ponder the conflicts of the living and the dead.

^ It being made after GTA4 and mods took off, especially the zombie mod for online and the machinimas that were made using that mod, probably influence undead nightmare.

They didn't add zombies recently, this DLC is like 13 years years old lmfao. If you don't like zombies then don't play the dlc, it's a simple concept really if you just used your brain.

Undead Nightmare was a DLC and it's separate to the base game.

It's also honestly better than the base game esp in terms of replayability.
