Rockstar login required + always-online = total non-starter
It's beyond unacceptable that this 15-year-old re-release of an offline single-player only game requires you to register and login to Rockstar's services to play. And judging by how the RDR2 PC release went, it's a safe bet that this remaster will require periodic online authentication to play even the single-player mode.

You should demand better for your money, is all I can tell you. As for me, I'll be happily emulating my PS3 GOTY copy via RPCS3, and I suggest you all do the same.

Nah I think it will log you out from time to time requiring you to reconnect at some point. AFAIK Rockstar games have some sort of soft "always online" requirement sadly.

At least its not PSN requirement.

It's even worse if you have to use that crappy launcher like RDR2 ...... At least with PSN I only have to turn it on once when I install the game, turn it back off and never have to worry about it again ......

After the botched GTA Trilogy I've pretty much lost interest in anything from Rockstar

It's the exact same thing, and this is just as stupid as requiring a PSN login for GOW Ragnarok or the singleplayer portion of Ghosts of Tsushima.

If anything this is worse, because there's seemingly no backlash and all the good lil consoomers don't care because everyone is so hyped that it's finally coming to PC.

What is that meant to mean?

What Sony is doing is not great but it is way better then this.

1. Sony allows family sharing
2. Their games aren't 1-1 ports of 14 year old games
3. Sony does not force a terrible launcher on you

Are you a PS hater or something? I see no reason for you to even think that this is somehow better.

The PS3 GOTY version is available for less than US $20 right now, and the game looks so much better emulated in RPCS3 with the original artstyle upscaled to 1080p, compared to the Switch and PS4 """remasters."""

You know what to do, people.

Yea you get auto logged out after I think a month or half a month then you need to sign back in to be able to play the game again.
