If it was a remake then fair enough, but it's a port of the original game. Why does it recommend a 2070 to play the game? I won't be surprised if it runs like ♥♥♥♥ with those requirements

It's pretty simple actually, it's for DLSS because for some reasons it also has FrameGen for 4000 series.
Don't worry, the recommended GPU is probably a 1060 or 1650.
Since the gap between the GPU is way too high.

On Rockstar's website, they are advertising this game as a 4K 144hz experience. The game also supports DLSS. So, I assume they're using the RTX 2070 as the recommended GPU since it's the oldest GPU that supports DLSS that can run the game at 4K 144hz.

unlikely that the 2070 can push 4k 144hz. more like 1080p 144hz

You need RTX card to use DLSS or DLAA, 2070 is entry-level RTX card, you could easily get 4K with DLSS. And since it's an old game, you might not even need DLSS, just DLAA.

you could probably do dlss to achieve 4k playable fps. we'll have to see when its out. my guess is dlss performance mode to get anywhere close to 4k 60 with low medium preset.
