If I agreed with you, I'd argue that:
-From a gameplay perspective you're moving from a much simpler game to a more complex game with simulation aspects. Its going to be a much easier transition from RDR 1 to RDR 2. It will also be more enjoyable to see the graphics improve dramatically in RDR 2 instead of stepping back with the original. While its a prequel, I feel the story of RDR 2 is more impactful and enjoyable after playing RDR 1.
I actually feel RDR 1's story is more impactful after RDR 2, but you could argue that for both games. Why am I arguing YOUR points better than you are? Make actual points!
Well, maybe make up your mind, you seem to be confused.
RDR has funner writing
RDR 2 has funner gameplay
Hope you enjoy them both, exceptional games.
1. RDR story driver solo, with fun multiplayer modes (*the latter not included in this version of the game)
2. RDR2 is an animal skinning simulator comprised of mini button prompt style gameplay actions, with a separate online component that is roundly hated due to its boring nature and hacking issues (*you can play privately using a simply file placement; but, that accentuates the boredom issues).
That is, the former game is a fun video game (were its MP modes intact, that is); whereas, the sequel is more an experiment (failed?) in "cowboy simulation".
What came first, that you (we) played over a decade ago - the point is, there was no RDR2 over 10 years ago.
Just because a generation were too young etc. doesn’t change history.
The devs never played RDRD2, because they hadn’t even thought of it!
You play RDR1.
I actually agree. RDR2 story for 80% of the time: Dutch: "We just need time", "We just need money"
RDR 2 = 1899
RDR 1 = 1911
