Red Dead Redemption

Red Dead Redemption

Statistiche:
Dialogue really quiet in cutscenes?
Anyone else got this issue too? Where the dialogue would for some reason sound really low compared to the music and other sounds going on around them.

I tried with both Headphones option on and off. No idea what could be causing it.

Was the game's audio also as weirdly mixed on the original consoles?

Yeah, I'm noticing the same thing. Music sometimes completely drowns out the dialogue
I was about to say 'that sounds familiar' then checked myself cos the game is brand new to PC....

I 'could' be misremembering, but I think the original game on console had some weird audio mixing.
I've played the original PS3 version way back when and I've only recently played the remaster on Switch, and I don't ever remember it being this bad, though.
I lowered the sound and music bar in the options to make the dialogue somewhat more audible, but it's still not perfect unfortunately.
In the audio there is an options for headsets. Try to turn it on. But im not sure if this will help

aye that was the first thing I tried to turn on and it unfortunately didn't help. On or off, didn'T seem to make a difference :(
Ah i see, did you check your Windows soundmixer at the bottom? Sometimes i forget to put it back louder. But i guess it wont be that :/
sorta same issue here, dialogue isnt quiet for me i just straight up cant hear it
Solved this by using headphones with 3.5mm jack. My wireless headphones don't play all the sounds for some reason.

It's because your wireless headphones received 5.1 or 7.1. 3.5 jack is Stereo.
Anyone found a fix besides the headphones with 3.5mm jack as I do not have any...
Nope, no luck so far. Looks like our only hope is Rockstar releasing a patch or someone on Nexus making a fix/patch for it :(

Haven't had a chance to test it yet, but since a 3.5mm jack is stereo, and that seems to have no issues, I'm assuming you have to set your sound settings in Windows to Stereo instead of surround. Haven't tried this yet, though.

That sounds like a solid workaround idea!
Configuring your sound device to output in stereo instead of 7.1 (or 5.1) worked for me!
