Controller support
Is dualsense not useable ?
I get input but no ps prompts !

It released on PS4 and 14 years ago on PS3.
Why has support for ps controllers been removed.

After waiting for over a decade for this, i am supposed to wait for mods which is not a guarantee ?

I'll give it a few days at most and if there is no solution i guess i'll refund it as well as RDR2.

Same here. Very disappointing

RDR2 has Dualsense support/PS5 prompts. Just disable steam input. It looks like RDR1 doesn't have them natively, but the prompts at least will be modded in within a week or two

Great BUT the reason for me to get both on steam is that i do not want to pay for months of online on console to have a shot at beating RDR2 there.

I don't like paid online.

Next issue is that asym has never been for me (gives me cramps which is a huge problem as a wrestler. 30 hours of WORK a week plus my lifting is not compatible with cramps).

I'm not hating on xbox and switch, i'm not one of these unhinged fanboys. I just want gamers to geek the f*** out of games they like regardless the rig or plastic box.

I don't like playing in ways that are a struggle for me nor do i want to have to guess inputs or "just xbox bruh" after sticking and getting used to ps for over 2 decades. I just want to enjoy games and not stress about "will that be playable for me (games that feel better with controllers imo or made for them).

At this point it's down to looking for solution and i'm tired of extensive search online before buying certain games. I just need a solution.

I'm not risking to miss the refund window/playtime and be stuck with two more games i might never play thus wasting 49.99 (RDR1) +31.49 which is 81.48 that i might then have wasted. Money does not grow on trees.

If someone who sees this makes or sees a mod to fix that issue (which to me is glaring disregard towards the portion of the playerbase who do use ps controllers), please link it here if possible, i'd be very thankful.

I heard it might be a Sony issue, i'm not looking for a culprit but a solution.

To those who can play it in this state, have fun for y'all and those who simply can't.

I'll try k&m to see if i like it this way and then i might wait or reconsider and wait for a discount for both.

Thank you for trying to help though, i appreciate that.

If you disable the input, then the game simply does not see the gamepad (no xbox and no playstation buttons).

True, I tried that already.

Just confirmed that installing the DSX software to simulate the behavior of the Xbox 360 controller will solve the problem.

I finished the game a month ago but ty.

Is it better than DualsenseX for dualsense ?

I honestly had to wait for mods which was the only solution at that before my last chance for an eventual refund (still it took a few days after release).

Does DSX force prompts for games who either don't have them on PC specifically ?

I'm thinking about God Eater Resurrection which has been stuck in my library because unplayable with a ps controller (played an ungodly amount of time on PSP version)...
