Is it just me or the performance is really...bad?
The game literally runs like total crap not gonna lie, I was expecting more than 80 FPS on Ultra at 1080p even.
In towns the FPS decreases considerably, having 144+ everywhere else but as soon as I am looking at the saloon it drops close to 80.
I can't use FrameGeneration either since FSR doesn't have that option only DLSS, using Lossless scaling actually works great but at the same I am kinda sad about the performance.

Edit: The game is CPU bound and my CPU is not that good, that's why I get framedrops in towns, otherwise the game is running buttery smooth.

I mean, the towns have more NPCs. FPS will naturally drop due to CPU usage increasing. Even RDR2 has the same issue, with St Denis and Valentine being more demanding than the open country. But 80 FPS is still better than if it had dropped to 30, like it did in GTA IV in some areas of the city due to actual bad optimization.

You didnt even state your GPU/CPU. And since when was 80fps bad? anything about 70 should be perfectly acceptable for any PC game barring esports games.

I'm rocking native 1440p ultra, 120+ FPS

Getting 290 with DLSS (balanced) enabled (3440x1440, 144Hz) - complete opposite of "really bad performance" so probably potato pc tbh

I think it's bad since I have around 100 in RDR2 on Ultra, that's what I am saying.
maybe you shouldn't run the game on a potato.

average pc gaming, for a 14 years old game it could be better than 80fps in 1080p with these specs maybe yes. Did you install the latest nvidia drivers ?
