If you have MSI Afterburner or another application to monitor, close it and when you are in the game menu open it

if that didn't work, try:

Reinstall Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 sp1 Redistributable package and Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0

Try the location of your installed game Red Dead Redemption\Redistributables

I installed both the DirectX and VCRed folders

disable nvidia interface, steam within the game, could it be some oc profile of your gpu?
