im actually downloading a preload right now from family share but i dont know if it will use rockstar app or not , we just have to wait until its release

It requires an R* account according to the store page, so it's almost certain it will use their app.

its almost why i asked this question, xD. i bought the game but i can see its in the family share library. but then i saw in the store it needs rockstar account, xD

if it says family sharing then it should work, just gotta use the Rockstar launcher just like any other rockstar game.

I can't play despite having access to it in my family library "Failed to verify Steam ownership of Red Dead Redemption." Store page has family sharing label so clearly some false advertising here.

FAMILY SHARE DOES NOT WORK! really disappointing but it makes sense. rockstar really likes putting zero effort into their games that dont have grand theft auto in the title. id pirate it if i were you.
