A remake is very unlikely, they already messed up GTA 3, VC and SA and the barely did any progress in fixing the definitive editions.
They also cannot be bothered to remake/remaster smaller games like Bully or Red Dead Revolver, so i don't have any hope for a huge game like GTA IV.
They are really that lazy to not remaster one of they biggest titles ever. They relaunch GTA V like 10 times (is the equivalent of Skyrim or RE4).
I think i am asking the bare minimum from a company with so much money and power in the game industry.
I mean they would sell more games, c'mon don't you like money guys, Rockstar ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ loves money, so go ahead and make a proper modern GTA IV port for several modern consoles and PC.
You are going to make a lot money i promise you.
But man they completely turn around and bring so much good ♥♥♥♥: RE7, Village, the fantastic RE 2/3/4 remakes and more remakes and new games for the future.
Also i had no hope in Konami to bring the Silent Hill series back but i was very wrong. Also they re-port the OG Metal Gear Solid Trilogy to PC on Steam, Plus the MGS3 Remake that maybe be Good or Bad.
So you mean to tell that Rockstar is not gonna bring back some of is older Classics, c'mon guys is a good thing it gives you money, it give us a modern way to play the games, it boost your image for the public especially since last years with the Definitive Edition disaster.
Or are you going to put all your eggs in one basket with GTA 6 and GTA Online, since i don't remember Rockstar having any other truly active IP.
I mean everybody was expecting Cyberpunk 2077 to be an absolute Hit at launch and just see what happened, they needed like 4 years of work to bring it up to speed.
example, call of duty, nothing in that game has ever changed from any other title they have done previously, besides graphics update and a change in theme. i haven't touched COD since black ops 3 and only played cold war campaign
I mean they relaunch GTA V 10 million times because its the only thing of theirs that actually makes money. Rockstar Games without GTAO would of probably shut down by now or been forced to develop tons of random garbage "games as a service" games due to Take-Two Interactive.
Tho thy need to find a actual good studio that can remaster their old games, not whoever they hired for the definitive trilogy.
And making run on modern hardware on a modern OS is pretty annoying, you need mods to make it run well, to restore the old music, to correct some of the old issues via patches, to make it look decent.
And sadly Rockstar puts to much attention to GTAO and they pretty much forget about everything else, they don't really care about Red Dead, Bully, LA Noire, they completely forgot about the Midnight Club series, they not longer create new IP's everything is GTA now.
And if for some reason GTAO is not longer as popular or it gets a decent competitor, Rockstar is done, they don't have a big partner like Microsoft, Sony or Nintendo to save them, they don't have a store front like Valve or Unreal, they don't license the RAGE engine, they don't make Hardware.
In reality Rockstar is pretty small they only make games, specifically one game GTA, is like if Nintendo only makes Mario and nothing else, if Mario fails the company goes under.
