Well it's been a month - I know it's not long, but maybe.

I'm waiting for a sale myself - not paying 70 dollars for a game I bought and beat for 67 new back on the ps3.

It's currently 30% off at gmg, for epic games though.

Epic = no thanks

You'd be underpaying. You'll pay 50 for a couple hundred hours of play time.
15 dollars or lower for me

I already know the game - So my hours will be less - I bought a game prior to release and was playing that - Another game I'm getting releases next week - So 70 dollars for a weekend isn't a good price for me.

I can just wait for a sale and play it when I have the time.

Waiting is not an issue for some people. People like me, who usually wait years for games to come down to 5$.

Didnt buy Days gone yet because its only going down to 15$, instead of the 5$ I usually wait for games to drop before I buy them. Didnt even buy MadMax at 5$ because by the time I waited, I was not interested anymore.

I dont have any needs to jump myself into a company's grip. A lot of people are just robots in the machine, buying, buying and buying, wasting they're hard earned money on every new gadgets. Then they wonder where they're cash is going.

This game is 70$ in my country. A meal at Mcdonald is 20$ minimum. I have a saying that every time I go out, it cost me a minimum of 100$. Going out I mean, buying things that I want. So if I were to buy everything that I wanted constantly, it would end up costing me a lot of money. And for what.. Not much in the end. With mcdonalds Im actually paying to give myself diseases. But that's another story and is an extreme obviously. All things can be fine in moderation.

So its not waiting to save 12$, its part of a bigger scheme. Its refusing to buy at prices that don't justify, which in the end can save you thousands and thousands of dollars.

I wanted to buy Toy Story toys for my kid on Amazon, they were priced 50$. That was way too expensive for my taste. I waited and waited, months later they actually jacked the price to 90$ and it stayed like that for some months again. I waited and they are now 30$ each. That price was reasonable. It saved me 40$ for both, or if I would have bought them at 90$, 120$ saved. And that is but one wheel in the machine. Multiple other items I do the same and at the end of the year it saves me 5,000 to 10,000$.

You cannot be an adult and looking at your budget on a day to day basis, or month to month basis. Or paycheck to paycheck basis. You need to think further than that. Where is your money going on a year to year basis. This is how you build wealth and keep it. A lot of people are very wealthy here and they don't know about it and that's because they buy 14 yrs old game for 70$. And how much more items like that do they buy per month. If you have no problem putting 70$ for an overpriced item like that, then you probably do it a lot with a lot of other items simply because you have the money for it.

So say you spend 400$ on such items every month. Doesnt look like much if you're 20, make 50k per year and all you have to pay is your rent and alcohol. But at the end of the year it makes 4,800$. Now if you reduce that 80% because you only buy on deep discount, you save 3,840$ per year. If you put that 3,840$ every year aside in investments, then in 30 years you have made 380,000$ saved up. ( that's an estimate obviously but its a calculated estimate).

So its not 12$ he saves, its 380,000$
