Red dead reality redemption mod

Has anyone had a problem using the installer? I have downloaded the mod from Nexus, unzipped the folder and put the rdr folder in the game folder. On running the batch file I get (after giving permission to install) an unhandled exeption error message. I verified the game cache beforehand as well. Anyone had a similar problem?

Problem solved. Make sure all of the files inside the mod folder move across. I did it manually and it will ask you if you want to transfer about 500 items. Then run the installer and it works. Don't bother with Vortex as it doesn't work. It is a great mod and changes the appearance of the game altogether.

Thank you but I understand that much. What I can't find are instructions on how to update to the current version of the mod. Do I have to uninstall the modand if so, what is the correct procedure for that or can I just run the installer for the latest version?

As far as I can tell, RR 3.0 installs over your current version. You don't have to do anything other than replace all the files with 3.0 when you extract it to the game folder. I don't remember if I simply deleted the "update" folder and the RR folder and ran the 3.0 installer, but generally speaking, RR doesn't replace the game's main files. Rather, a "mod" folder called "update" simply overwrites the game's main files without actually touching them. Hence, simply running the 3.0 installer will replace everything in that update folder anyway.

How to update?
NOTE #1: If you previously installed an older version of Reality Redemption (such as 2.8) use the Uninstall and restore backups option in that version's installer to restore your original game files. (Or just simply re-verify the integrity of game files.)
This is a MUST because from now on, Reality Redemption installs into the update folder, and doesn't touch the original game files anymore.
NOTE #2: If you previously installed Reality Redemption 2.9 you can easily re-install the mod to apply the update. No need to remove any files.
1. Put the "RealityRedemption BETA 2.9.2 PC" FOLDER in your RDR installation folder (where RDR.exe is)
2. Enter the folder and open RR 2.9.2 PC Installer.bat and follow the installation instructions, it might take a while to install
3. The installer will automatically apply the mod to your game
4. Enjoy
