rafts and canoes spinning/flying out of control

first noticed this when I installed reality redemption bc I messed around with the silent virtues menu after for a bit to see if I could go down the river in a canoe or raft and both kept flopping/spinning out of control into the air and crashing down so I just gave up on it bc I didn't think it would effect a certain mission but I can't even get through it bc the raft spins and launches me off into the air and fails the mission. it's probably from something reality redemption installed I would think and idk if anyone else has had this problem and knows how to fix or not but I'd appreciate if anyone could help.

this is an issue with the "fixes and improvements" option. currently, it breaks physics on pc, since the values were tuned for the switch version. either reinstall the mod and skip that feature during installation, or wait for it to be fixed in the next mod update

I reinstalled it without the "fixes and improvements" option and the raft I'm on is still bugged. I'm stuck

I went through this place just dying and reloading the checkpoint. After 4-5 deaths, the skip checkpoint button will appear. And so you need to skip the whole mission.

I'm not using any mods, but I'd imagine even if you were to uninstall the game and re-download it the mod files would still be left in the game folder. You'd have to delete the entire game folder after uninstalling the game. It's that or know all mod files and manually delete each mod file from the folder. Like Cheesy said, you do get the option to skip a mission if you fail enough times. Steam would only uninstall official game files and leave a mostly empty folder behind. It's not going to remove foreign files you put in that folder. It won't even recognize they are there. They aren't tied to the uninstaller to be removed. You would need to remove them. That's all I can think of.

thankfully I had a backup of my game before I added reality so I deleted the reality files and I was able to continue where I left off and get through the mission. I just added reality back without the fixes and improvements and the better rag dolls just to be safe because someone said they did it without the fixes and improvements and it was still broke but idk if they had a backup or if they just tried to reinstall it.
