They added that for extra diversity.

you are using a mod that is improper?
Porkhammer Nov 6, 2024 @ 1:51am
No, no mods. The only "mod" I am using is to skip intro videos.

then probably a bug. if I was you, I would report it to Rockstar so they fan apply a fix per patch: https://support.rockstargames.com/categories/200013116

Thanks, yeah. I am trying to determine the cause.

I am using Nvidia's DSR upscaling because my monitor is weaksauce. From 1080p to 1440p (both windows and game, 4k looks blurry sadly), and in game I am using everything maxed except motion blur, which I disabled.

DLAA on, framegen disabled, vsync disabled. 144 fps cap.

Have you installed a mod?

Like mentioned above, all I did was grab the intro movies skipping one. I do not recall installing anything else. But I did verify my game files via Steam and that seems to have fixed the issue.

There was another thread for this. It's caused by the upscaler. I did research on this for the other person and they said that the upscaler has been updated and the updated version should fix this.

Thank you for your input! I'm just happy it was as simple as verifying the game files on my end.

Sorry, I posted that before your post went through. xD I'm glad that did fix it though, although upscalers do seem to be the culprit of the infamous black rain.
