Is there an issue with the Animal Spawn Rate?
I played this on PS3 back in the day and I don't recall it being like this...

But I kill a few cyotes / deer / whatever and just turning the camera around as I'm skinning them seems to spawn more? I literally had about 14 deer around me just outside of armadillo before?

Good shout, I'll try and limit the framerate.

Limiting the FR to 60 seems to be working. Also you can set the refresh rate separate from the FR in the options which is nice.
yeah, i'm going for that shoot each animal achievement and I sorta remember that the spawn rate was higher.

The spawn rate has always been a bit high. It is like this on console, At least on XB1. Makes predator hunting a bit funny at times. Bears will spawn in and make a beeline for you.

Yeah... I think we've confirmed this is an FPS issue.

From the wiki:
After killing a bear, the chances of meeting another bear increases. It is quite probable that after killing one or more bears, the player will be faced by almost unending waves of bears; this can be very profitable, and they might be able to earn Bearly Legal in one session if this occurs. Needless to say, however, that this is also a very dangerous situation.

The situation referenced above can become incredibly dangerous when hunting more than one bear at a time. There have been several reported instances of players triggering a nearly unending rush of bears when they encountered, and subsequently killed, a small family of bears just southeast of Tanner's Reach. The end result was a pile of upwards of twenty-five grizzly bears.

It's always been an issue. I think higher FPS just makes worse.

All predators seem to have an attraction to dead animal corpses, but for bears I think they're weighted to be the most prone to it and then running the game 4-5X or more FPS than the ~20-25 FPS it ran at on PS3/XB1 is probably multiplying the spawn rate to where they just rapid spawn on you.
