Disable heat mirage effect

Does anyone know how to disable the heat mirage effect? Finding that effect to be distracting. If you don't know what I mean, it's like the "Heat wobble" of the image at distance.

not that i know of, people have been requesting this option since it's been on console, so over a decade now, maybe someone will make a mod now that it's on pc

Theres a mod available on nexus that removes several visual effects, including the heat blur. Works well.

Give it a month and this game will be drowning in mods.
