Black screen
Ryzen 5 3600, RTX 3080, 36 GB Ram, newest drivers.

Every time I start the game I get the logos, followed a black screen where the main menu should be. The game isn't hanging or froze, the screen is just black. If I hold alt-tab I can see the see the menu, I can even move between options. I've changed monitor resolution, turned off scaling, but nothing has worked so far.

If someone searches "black screen" in the future and finds this... there was no refresh rate set, which caused the black screen and flickering. Go to My Documents, Rockstar Games, Red Dead Redemption, graphicOptions. Edit the document to your monitor's refresh rate value and - that worked for me.

Incidentally this fix came from a four year old bug in Red Dead Redemption 2 so... might want to look into that Rockstar.
