Why did rockstar make another red dead instead of GTA 6?????

Why didn't rock-star just make GTA 6 instead of another western game that just got a game in 2018. Why didn't they just call this RD3 to make it simple :( I also haven't played RD2 yet, the guy at EB Games said I needed an adult, do you need to play it to understand this game?

Let me clarify for you, this isn't another Red Dead game, it's a relaunch of the first Red Dead Redemption on PC (it was console only before). They're making GTA 6 and it's coming out next year.
