Better than RDR 2 in terms of gameplay.
That game was stunning and immersive but oh so slow.

I loved every minute of it but i forgot how much of a classic this one was and how much better the overall gameplay, pacing and story is.

It does though? LMAO. RDR 2 was memed to death over people shooting their horses/people because the controls suck.
I didn't have an issue with red deads 2 movement at all lol. I could see why some people think it would be clunky after playing games where you have so much control over your character but they were obviously going for something a little different here. Did they achieve it perfectly? No. I think it's still better than the arcadey feel of red dead 1 though

Nah, I hate the controls of 2 and they take me out of the game. I don't need to feel like I am walking through molasses and having a slight delay in inputs is just criminal.

The major problem gameplay wise with rdr2 on pc is the aiming mouse sensitivity doesn't let you get low enough without lowering the dpi down on your mouse. Seems like they got it right in this port of rdr1.

I haven't bought it on Steam/EGS yet, but I own an xbox 360 copy. I like how simple the gameplay is compared to RDR 2. You want to loot some fur? Don't bother to choose the type of weapon or ammo you need to kill an animal. You can even kill animals with your bare hands and sell their skin in perfect condition.

I would love to see a remake instead of a remaster

OOOOF. You are in for a rude awakening thinking a 14 year old arcade shooter has better movement than current games lmao
Bunny hops towards you and roundhouse kicks your head to the moon. Yes, you're retarded lmao.

its not exaclty perfect, especially after MGS 5, TLOU 2 and helldivers 2, but its still better than GTA5 and RDR2 yeah, both are unresponsive due to animation being prioritized over gameplay
helldivers and the last of us 2 are good examples of how to make a good gameplay along good animation, i wished RDR2 was like that, but infortunately...
and RDR2 is not more realist than RDR1, being able to tank 20 bullet, carrying each consummable 100 times, and the horrible police that work like cyberpunk day one, just no, RDR2 is a story telling action game, nothing more

As much as I love RDR2 for it's beautiful design and story telling, RDR1 is a much better game. Mouse aiming feels so much better. I can actually aim in this game!

oh my... if you like RDR1 over RDR2 you should probably be playing Crash Bandicoot. Which, btw, seems more "serious" than this thing here.

This game has something RDR2 doesn't have - it's actually a game

Nah, the only thing RDR1 had over 2 is better multiplayer. Smaller scale battles(TDM) and the standoffs made it truly feel like a western. Sadly they took it out of this game, which is the main reason I will not buy

And it's not a 55 to 60 hour game like rdr2.

yeah its a good addition in RDR2, but the aiming control is still trash tier for a shooter

Oh I agree, I never played RDR1 before and I was pleasantly surprised how easy and quick combat and moving is in RDR1. The Movement in RDR2 was really messed up and on purpose made way too sluggish, for whatever reason. But you got used to it and adapted after a while.
Yeah.... its called.... realism... lol. They weren't going for an arcade shooter like rd1.
Well no f-ing sh-

The problem is that the realism detracts from the fun. Like I don't give a f- if my horse' balls shrink when it's chilly outside, I want to play a GAME.

RDR2 added a lot of cool things but also a lot of random, unwanted BS.

its not even realist, cover system doesnt cover you at all, because arthur is too dumb to crouch his head below the wall so he constantly take hit, but he dont care, he is a T-800 after all, he can soak bullet almost indefinitely
he also can use double simple action revolver, which is absolutely unreliable
i swear people who think the shooting part of the game is somehow realist have just never played any other game in their life and also never took any weapon in their hands

Agreed, though I think the fella was mainly referring to other stuff like movement and such.
