Game Won't Start, i've tried everything

this is extremly frustrating...
When i open the game it goes to the launcher and upon pressing play the luancher simply closes and the game never starts
i've tried everything i can find in these forums, Renaming aomx to Luancher, Opting into the modmanagerbeta, when i try to run the game by direcly opening amox.exe i get "Entry Point Not found" and some kind of error relating to a .dll file, i've tried various luanch options and fixes i found here but nothing seems to work or create a log file as so many of the Devs seem to ask for
i'm on Windows 7 64Bit SP1, 8GBs of RAM, AMD A-10 Quad Core @2.3GHZ
please help me :c

I posted about copying a .dll file from someone else with a similar system, then read more about it on the WEB, bad idea - don't do it.
The only suggested fixes for .dll files are; If inadvertently deleted, try to restore it from the Recycle Bin, otherwise reinstall the program.

Try running a full reinstall ^^^^ Like Pilot said. That's a really weird thing to happen.

Yeah my freind told me about trying to do that but it sounded very risky to say the least so we dicided not to heh

Does it still error out on the same .dll? What is the name of the .dll file? I can try looking up what function that file performs.

when i try to luanch aomx.exe outside of steam directly i get: The procedure entry point __crtCreateSymbolicLinkW could not be located in the dynamic link library MSVCR110.ddl

hey guys . what is happening with this in-game delay? Will they fix it or our money been robbed?

I located the MSVCR110.dll file in my system, it's in the same Steam folder as the AoM Launcher program.

Found this on the WEB.

If you search the WEB using "MSVCR110.dll", you will find many references to it not working properly and possible solutions. Some of the WEB sites state Virus and Hack problems with this particular .dll, which is concerning due to the access it allows to the system.

I've tried all these things (xcept a complete system restore) and nothing works, at this point i'm convinced it's a problem with the game, not my computer

Go to Steam> Steamapps> common> Age of Mythology> _CommonRedist> vcredist > 2012 and run vcredist_x64 or 86 instal or repair

Hi I managed to get it working by doing this..
deleted the vsredist 64 bit though not sure if this helps.
go to steamApps/common/age of mythology/
goto aomx.exe right click go to properties then compatability
I have win 7 64 bit, but I put compatability mode to win 7, settings run in 640 x 480, and run as administrator. do the same for launcher.exe.
and it started fine now.
