Age of Mythology: Extended Edition

Age of Mythology: Extended Edition

Game stuck on installation
I JUST purchased the game. Been waiting for 2 hours for installation.. Steam finished downloading it, however, when I click to play the game, a window pops up trying to install Microsoft VC Redist package.. This has been stuck on 1/2 for the past hour. I need HELP! I really want to play this game.. It's been YEARS since I've played.

Nooo! Not yet. I've been trying to get somewhere with it, but I've had no such luck.. I've tried to unistall and reinstall all my vcredist packages, but it's not going anywhere.. I paid $30 for a game that I really want to play, but just can't.. :( As soon as I find a solution, I will let you know!

Have you tried deleting your installscript.vdf file in the _CommonRedist folder?

Yep. All it did was make it where the install didn't pop up anymore.. The launcher still wouldn't launch. I've unistalled and reinstalled the c++ 2015 program, however, the launcher still crashes. I can go in and manually launch the launcher through the local files, but I get a missing .dll error.. Which is annoying because its part of the C++ 2015 package according to the internet.. I'm lost as to what to do at this point. The file it says I'm missing is in my system 32 files..

you should update to windows 10. Its free until 7/30
-Dare Devil/x/ Aug 7, 2016 @ 2:40pm
-Try both of these:

1. Go to Steam Library.
2. Right-click on Killing Floor 2.
3. Select Properties.
4. Go to Local Files tab.
5. Click the button "Verify Integrity of Game Cache...". This should take 10-15 minutes.
6. Try playing the game now.

1. Microsoft C++ Redists didn't install properly:
2. Go to your control panel for add/remove programs.
3. Uninstall all versions of 2010 Microsoft C++ Redistribs.
4. Uninstall all versions of 2012 Microsoft C++ Redistribs.
5. Uninstall all versions of 2015 Microsoft C++ Redistribs.
6. Navigate to: \Steam\steamapps\common\killingfloor2\_CommonRedist\vcredist
7. In the 2010 folder, install both the x86 and x64 versions by right-click run as admin.
8. In the 2012 folder, install both the x86 and x64 versions by right-click run as admin.
9. In the 2015 folder, install both the x86 and x64 versions by right-click run as admin.
10. Try playing the game now.

I've done both :( Steam wouldn't give me a refund so I'm stuck with the game
