Full screen on second monitor does not work

How can I get AOM to run full screen on my second monitor without changing my computer's monitor layout?

I am unable to play the game in my second monitor in full screen.

Ive toggled windowed and resolution whilst having the windowed version on my second monitor however it sends it to my first monitor.

Due to my setup, setting my second monitor as the [Monitor 1] will make an absolute mess so id prefer not to do so. Any help would be much appreciated!

over a year later here just ran into this problem and googled for a fix. I paid decent money for this steam extended edition, pretty frustrating that it's been this long without any fix....
