Windows 11 Issue

Has anyone managed to solve the issue where AoM doesn't run on Windows 11? I can't find a fix anywhere.

Its crashing for me as well. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling - both the app as well as the steam itself. Didnt help

The game runs fine on my system too. It's very strange.

That is very strange. I just installed it and ran just fine on Windows 11. Steam did have to install Microsoft .NET Framework before launching. Maybe that wasn't properly installed?

I wonder if new video card drivers are causing the problem. I must run old AMD drivers for playing Cossacks 3. Perhaps, new drivers are affecting Age of Mythology.

I recently bought this game. First it wasn't starting at all (I have Windows 11). I downloaded and installed the .NET framework, then it was able to launch. Unfortunately it got stuck on loading screen saying "building game interface". So I deleted the Launcher.exe in the game directory and renamed the Aomx.exe file to Launcher.exe. Now it works. :)
