[Spoliers] Entire Fall of the Trident Campaign in Titan, Anyone? (walkthrough/review)
I have played the original game but don't remember it much so I'm aware I'm comparing apples to oranges. Well here's my list of completed ones in Titan.

The "really" Titan:
9. Revelation: I immediately wipe the boulder guards with heroes and bring the boulders down, then take over the ram for a minute at best, then huge armies of myth units spawn right next to the ram and there goes the army, the pathetic "reinforcements" are outnumbered.

Originally posted by DragonQ:
mission 9 is about micro. Keep your Hoplites back except when you're attacking the ram, and keep your Centaurs behind your heroes when fighting myth units. They key to this mission is the 3 Medusae you get on the right side of the map. Take out the boulders where you can and keep those 3 Medusae alive. Use them on the hardest MUs at each battle (e.g. Chimeras) and don't attract lots of attention at once if you can help it. You shouldn't need any god powers until you start attacking the ram at the earliest.

24. Not From Around Here: Ahh, giants everywhere! I never stood a chance of getting far enough to build rams and knock down the boulders, destroying most of the temples is nearly impossible as you keep getting your walls destroyed almost instantly and soon I get wiped out by a sh!tload of giants. Even on Hard I knocked down the boulders with seconds to spare and barely made it through the forest alive.

The mission with the giants I remember I exploited to win. I think it was that the giants only begin to spawn when you see the giant boulder wall and build a settlement. So I simply went around the map destroying most temples with my starting army before I built my settlement.

5. Just Enough Rope: ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Took over 5 attempts to not get wiped out by the armies, I finally managed to pump out enough villagers/military/upgrades in the right ratio.

12. The Light Sleeper: I managed to win on the first go. Well I had just broken down the walls and most of the towers/strongholds between me and the guardian, but my army had been slaughtered. I distracted the local army with Chiron, ran the sword bearer in, and the huge army that was destroying the villages was right behind it chasing my sword bearer, who arrived with half health! If I took a second longer I would have been wiped out.

16. Good Advice (part 2): It took me many attempts to survive in the beginning. I finally worked out the best ratio to pump out villagers and military, and got some safe walls up

20. Where They Belong: Epic. I was running around rebuilding walls/pumping villies/millatry out, took a long time to secure the pass between the two town centers. My economy got pooned on multiple occasions with attacks. If you just run away to the lake, build a transport ship and go to the east corner though, you will never get attacked and this will belong in the 'easy' list.

23. The Dwarven Forge: ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. It took me nearly 10 attempts to survive. I had to pump out Hensirs like there was no tomorrow, finally secured the walls but after that the hard part is mining the gold where you can't build anything and keeping the army at pop limit. The resistance was a PITA until I destroyed the buildings at the top.

29: Unlikely Heroes: I got the hammer handle just in the nick of time, the army was right behind my Heroes who were guarding the handle, throwing fire at them and stuff. The head was trapped where it spawned, didn't have enough guards to fight their way through so I had to come to them.

30. All Is Not Lost: My Favorite! All those god powers really kept me on edge, at one point all three of my walls at one gap were knocked down, I crapped myself when I found out about the underworld passage!

32. A Place in My Dreams: Loved it. Took me multiple attempts. Eventually I managed to pump out an army and wall up okay, took me forever to take the plenty vaults while I was advancing/saving up for the wonder.

The Easy (not including all the "kill these myth units and walk around a map" scenarios):
1. Omens: for obvious reasons

13. Tug of War: Spam all the god powers at the start and you never lose control of the piece.

14. Isis Hear my Plea: LOL! I just walked Amanra to the wall and jumped her over by getting her to attack a soldier on the other side. Then got her in the transport ship. Didn't even need the "distraction".

17. The Jackals Stronghold: I remember the original game like this but I didn't receive a single attack. All I had to do was transport villagers to the west side of the island and build a load of military buildings.

19. Watch That First Step: No attacks. Can use Rocs to ferry villagers/Colossi. Resistance isn't too challenging.

21. Old Friends: The resistance is pretty meh, no attacks.

26. Union: Meh resistance, no attacks, final guards are easily distracted while I ram down the tower and walls with the b!tch inside.

31. Welcome Back: Please, I didn't even need the villagers, original army was more than enough to rescue the prisoners.

You playing on titan, how the hell did you do 9. Revelation though?

North I found okay, I just walled up between the cliffs and defended while I maxed out the pop limit. The running around to different walls is a PITA though.

Oh lol fair enough, still fun in easy, more of a story than a campaign though lol. Let me know how it goes.

If you think that these missions were hard, you should try the 'The Titans' campaign! The Titan difficulty of the vanilla campaign is nothing compared to some of the missions from that campaign.

The vanilla campaign is easy even on Titan mode. Anyone that has played online and understands how to play Supremacy will be fine. I seem to remember the Norse part being harder than the Egyptian and Greek parts though. The expansion campaign though...that is evil. The first mission can be tough since you're not expecting it, but the second mission is near-impossible.

FYI, mission 9 is about micro. Keep your Hoplites back except when you're attacking the ram, and keep your Centaurs behind your heroes when fighting myth units. Also, I'm sure The Jackals Stronghold is bugged. I also didn't get attacked once, which makes it ridiculously easy. You can boom, get to mythic, spam elephants and just send them over with some vills to AQ some more elephants. I'm sure the enemy is supposed to attack your island occasionally...

Yeah I've noticed that today! Started the Titans, I haven't managed any of them on Titan difficulty yet, I've done 1 and 2 so far and it took me forever in 2 to destroy their town center even on hard mode after destroying their base, kept running out of damn gold. All the gold is on the islands which is near inaccessible because of the greeks annoying navy.

I noticed on easy you get free towers in the first campaign, on hard and titan you get nothing!

Yeah I got the Medusae and lion, and tried to keep the forces behind my heroes, but the Heroes just kept dieing from the sheer number of myth units, mabye I suck at micro though.

Ah yes I remember mission 9 on titan. I don't really remember the details but I finished it with about only 2 horsemen remaining delivering the final blow to the ram, and the tartarus gate had less than 1000 health remaining. I literally did a victory dance after I won that mission. Good times.

The mission with the giants I remember I exploited to win. I think it was that the giants only begin to spawn when you see the giant boulder wall and build a settlement. So I simply went around the map destroying most temples with my starting army before I built my settlement.

North I remember to be one of the hardest missions as well. I don't actually remember how I won it...

Agree with above posters saying the titans campaign is much harder on titan difficulty. I couldn't get past the level in Egypt where you have to capture Egypt's relics while defending your temples, and from that mission onwards I played on Hard.

EDIT: Light sleeper was one of the most epic victories in the campaign. I remember that the sword carriers were just reaching the guardian as Gargarensis' army arrived. I think I was seconds away from defeat there.

Light Sleeper is pretty easy IMO. Just wall the large entrance and make towers and Migdols to cover the small entrance and most of their attacking forces will die on their way through. As with most of the Egyptian campaigns, just mass fully upgraded Elephants and Chariots, put them on AQ and push.

What attacks? They only defended from me, and did pretty darn good job too :S

I don't get why everyone is saying North was hard? Mabye it was because I built my first town center on the south settlement and had better natural defences.

I wish there was a steam achievement for this, would be a massive epeen boost lol.

Wow, awesome job! I lol'd when the medusa didn't work.

Edit: 9 is super easy after watching that! I got the ram down with 50% damage to the gate :D

I won the giants one aswell after destroying all the temples first, thanks.

Still can't believe I lost a Medusa. Ah well.
IpiSmASH May 17, 2014 @ 7:01am
I've managed to beat the first Titans campaign on titan after like 10 goes lol, it was all about managing the economy. Krios doesn't even supply me with my mofo fire siphons! 4 took me a while but I beat that too. I will try 2 and 3 again soon, I'll post a new thread once I've done (or attempted lol) titans in titan.

I think I am gona be so much better at multiplayer after all of this haha

Edit: yeah done the first 5 now, hopefully I will survive in the next ones
