Retail CD-Key on Steam
It would be awesome if you could enter your old AoM cdkey here on Steam to get the EX.

Is this possible?

If that's possible i'm gonna buy that game + titans for $3 at the local gameshop and add it here.

Of course it's not possible :P

It's just a graphical update, if you already have the game (which would have cost you around $80 total back in the day) why should you have to pay $25 for HD?

I don't care about Gold edition users.

You are retarded then.

The Xbox 360 version of Battlefield 4 is essentially the same game but you dont get that free when you buy it on PC.

This is a revamped updated rereleased version of the game, get a brain and use it please.

You dont get the GOTY version of a game free years later cause you bought the original.

Wrong comparison.

Better one: You buy BF4 but the patch that comes out a year later is not free, you have to pay almost the same amount as the original game.

You know you won an argument when the opponent starts to insult you.

As much as we'd love to give a discount to the loyal fans, Steam just doesn't have a system in place to check for ownership of other versions of the game.

But other games have this option:

That article is pointing out games where if you buy at retail (i.e. disc copy), you can get a Steam copy of the same game with your retail key. This is not the same game as the original Age of Mythology.

Can this thread be closed? It's clear OP is just trolling at this point :B1:.
