Once I'm fully aged up I switch my focus away from food and more onto favor, while keeping up the production of gold and wood. I only build Heroes, Gastraphetes and Chimera from that point out. The Chimera are great because they're fast and massed against an army their flame attack does massive damage, so I can deploy them quickly across a wide area.
I try to use the earthquake power as quickly as possible against an enemy base, hopefully before they've had a chance to fully age-up. If that doesn't work out, I'll save it for knocking down a Titan Gate and hopefully by that point I'll have enough fighting units to follow thru with an underground passage and an assault on what's left of their base.
This strategy takes lots of pop, so move to take empty or enemy settlements as quickly as possible. I see lots of players online who don't even try to take empty or enemy settlements - you need to grab as many of those as fast as you can. Pop is life!

I hardly use regular archers - only until Gastras are available; because late game is more about bringing down buildings, not units. I'm pretty thick headed about my strat; though; you can see from my rating I don't adapt too well.
