The hotkey you desire to change is this one:
map ("+delete", "game", "uiDeleteSelectedUnit"),
wheras "+delete" marks the key on your keyboard. Simply change it to the key of your choice and save the file, then you should be able to delete units and buildings using that key ingame.
Hope it helps. Be careful that the key is not already taken and ready to change the other one if it is, otherwise you may end up with overlaps.
Not entirely sure how you mean it, but some hotkeys are currently missing from the ingame hotkey editor, but we are looking into changing that. If you meant something else, please clarify.
I meant a way to change your hotkeys. But I just checked and saw it is already there. Like doomed said. So my mistake.
But indeed, maybe in customize hotkeys/hotkey groups/selection/command you could add 'delete an object' with standard hotkey 'delete' so in the rare cases were it would be broken you can still change it.
and thanks for working on ingame hotkeys.
Unfortunately I do not know the code for "~". Most other keys are more straightforward, e.g. 1 = 1, a = a etc.
Done. So as long as that actually works, really easy, though obviously it's impossible to figure out without asking someone who already knows. It would obviously be much simpler if the game let you do it. Hopefully you have Windows.
Oh cool so we can edit user.con and AOM EE is fine with that? Good to know. Much better to edit hotkeys using that than the built in interface. Need something to stop my TC or dock every time I queue a unit by hitting a.
