but that is my experience that i have with the ai in the game in the game before the tale of dragons dlc, if they changed that in the dlc i don't know.
This happened in the Campaign AI (NewAtlantis and Trident), where the ai usually have like lot of resources by default and if a player controlled an AI he would notice that his resources were really slowly depleting due to some String that occurs in the scenario data giving AI type of players to train more units at the cost of one.
That's a Looping Trigger for Army Deploy.
however we could always say the ai cheat in every other way as the ai can probally control more units than a human player does even tho it will not do that in a very efficient way, but in regard to game rules, the ai is not breaking then atleast, i would like to know tho if the ai is having some bugs or doing some breaking rules cheats, what the ai is doing?
aomodai don't cheat vision for military units (have to scout) if you want a less cheating ai.
i assume you guys are talking about the ai in the multiplayer/randomap game mode, because campaing use a specific ai for each map and there is a totally different file for it, and im pretty sure its not designed to play with humans rules by design, so it does cheat alot there in some of the maps (if not all)

but for the multiplayer ai, the default ai its just cheating vision, could u pinpoint me the other ways the ai is cheating? i would like to know, i know the ai used to be able to use godpowers in corner of the maps where a human player needed to rotate the screen but i think it got fixed not sure.
