We used to be able to log into the old online service with couple of my friends as we all have copy of the original ensemble studios release of the game, and by using Fiddler to ignore that expired SSL certificate.

However as we tried to go in, the login process ended after getting authorization from aom.eso.com. This is the forwarding process. As seen from the screen bellow, on phase 4, the server replies with succesful login info, and it's supposed to forward the client into the online service, but the forwarding is broken meaning the server behind does not respond. In other words, they finally pulled the plug.

The only thing remaining is the login.passport.com service which is now being run by microsoft and used to tunnel many old games to their respective platforms.. of course missing our dear Age of Mythology since today :(

Nah, it was still accessable if you ignored the expired certificate.
