Active Online servers?

Nowadays, I only see around 2-3 servers and only an average of 10 people in the Multiplayer.
Is it dead? Because it would be a shame...
I enjoyed the multiplayer portion when I was young... specifically I did alot of Roleplaying back then... and decided... why not in this... yet, the multiplayer seems dead... but is it?

Most people play singleplayer on Steam. There are other game service which I won't mention here where most AOM gamer play multiplayer.

It's also worth mentioning that said other services aren't compatible with the Steam version, you need the original.

seeing how you posted it 13 hours ago I'm assuming you're from new zealand/australia or in that timezone. that's a dead timezon for aom. other timezones EE is pretty active in multiplayer.

USA and Europe Timezones have a finate number of lobbies, I haven't checked much for the asia and australia part.

On another note, steam players don't just play aom sp for eternity, i've seen very unusual periods where 1000 people are online and are hosting lobbies, granted it might be a bug, but the global chat seems pretty active then.

Maybe it also affects that a lot of people had to go back to school and work
