4k Gameplay not workint

Hi there. A few days ago, when I first started to use my computer the morning after, I found that all my computer windows had been resized to a very small square, including a game I was playing the night before.

Now, my massive 4K view is completely gone and now I have this Zoomed in view that barely lets me see anything. I've tried to adjust all the resolutions but they don't seem to make much difference to how the game is displayed. The elements in the game are the same size just slighly stretched.

I tried to edit the resolution in the Default.prf file to no avail.

I reinstalled the game, set things to default. Nothing seems to take. It just keeps giving me this mega zoomed in game play that barely zooms in and out like it used to before.

I can't play this game anymore and it's the only thing that relaxes me after a long day.
