Tier 2: Isis, Poseidon, Hades, Loki, Odin
Tier 3: Gaia, Kronos, Fu Xi, Nu Wa, Shennong, Thor
It doesn't rank strong to weak btw. Simply who has the most favourable matchups. One matchup is an opponent God and a map, so each God has (to be strict) 154 different matchups in EE. A Tier 3 civ can be better than a Tier 1 civ on a specific map
NOW, you explain to me why is Odin T2 and Thor T3. What the heck happened here?
Last time I read Hades was 3 and Gaia 2. And now? Is it bc of the 5 sentinels and Hades's tech became cheaper?
I' m not even gonna ask about Chinese mod.
Haha, i answered you. Yet clearly you did not hear the answer you wanted to hear. Funny world indeed.
As Harmsway sort of mentios, it matters which map you are playing on AND the (major) god you chose.
And after that, it is personal playing style that determines whether you win.
Again that's not what I've asked. and you really seem new to AoM especially bc of this
Wow that's definitely an epic discovery you made
Despite the obvious stuff like "any god can be good if used properly" unfortunatelly that's not really the case on a certain lvl where both players have equal skills and it depends mostly on the gods.
Hence I will wait for more explanation about the tiers especially supported by sources
Tier 2: Poseidon, Hades, Loki, Odin, Nu Wa, Gaia, Kronos, Thor
Tier 3: Shennong
Tier lists are often personal opinion, and since EE doesnt really get played much at the highest of levels theres not really a globally accepted tier list. this is my personal opinion.
And Shennong 3?
I thought Gaia and Odin were kinda 'bad' on the bottom. Why 2?
shennong for me just has no relevant bonuses right now. wall upgrade cheaper lol. converting myth units is a niche perk thats since monk nerfs not that ovepowered anymore.
Gaia automaton buffs made her have some decent matchups, but she still struggles vs most of the tier 1 civs and loki.
Odin is definately much better now though, even beating oranos on average. (speculation i dont have actual stats but makes sense as he does on voobly)
yeah you can watch old replays on the original game, if the files come from voobly though (or after 2012) make sure you check which voobly patch it was played on, and play it on the correct voobly patch to watch it.
I have been playing since 2004, so you saying I am new to this is quite funny. Anyway, what I was trying to say, is that people putting (major) gods in tiers is cute, but it really is not that important as it is very easy to win or lose with any major god. Sure, every god has their bonuses or even abilities, and a combi of interesting or less interesting minor gods, but then again, a choice of map type and opponents make up for more relevant 'lists' than any other general gamble list. If anything, it is a self fulfilling prophecy.
And yes, you like to make me look like a noob because I mention the difference between major and minor gods, but hey, you are the one who does not specify this.
there is just some niche player
Tier 2: Isis, Poseidon, Hades, Loki, Odin, Kronos
Tier 3: Gaia, Fu Xi, Nu Wa, Thor
Tier 4: Shennong
