Insanely slow download?

I have a 150mbs internet connection, tested it with speedtest, currently going at 180, everything else is working fine. I bought this game, getting a download speed fluctuating between 8mbs and 24kbs up and down all over, sometimes eve 0. Tried changing download server (from vancouver to seattle.) made little/no difference. Anyone else having this issue? I have never had this problem before with steam.

Same here. Trying to download this game and it is stuck at 13% (241mb downloaded). Just won't budge from there. I reinstalled Steam and cleared cache and everything.

I had the same problem, but I got it to work by downloading Steam beta:

Right click Steam icon -> Account -> Beta participation -> Change

Changing the download location did nothing, it'd only go as far as 1.4gb from the initial 241mb and it wouldn't write on the disk either. Never had this problem with any other Steam game.

Mine has been stuck on 8% for ages...Tried restarting our rooter to see if there was something wrong with slow internet but it's the same.

i had the same issiue, like 125 kbs slow, i dont have a fast connection atm where i moved to but 1.4mbs is its max and it useually sits around there all the time.

i just shut down steam then turned pc off for a min or 2 then boom was fine up at 1.4 mb again.

I finally got it to download but now the game wont launch. Just starts and stops instantly.

Agreed. 25% of the s peed of other Steam downloads. WTF is happening?!

Oh good, so its NOT just me. What the hell did they DO to this game? I got it dirt cheap on sale and frankly, if they don't fix this, I want my money back. I didn't give Steam money for a game I can't even play.

I'm having the same issues. I stop it, delete local content and start again. The furthest it will get is in the 240mb range before stalling out.
