I mean that's literally what I've been doing but okay sure. Rage baiting much?
Some are able to resist fomo, some are unable to do it, and that's what these companies look for. If it was as easy for everyone to resist it, none of these companies would exist by now, and you wouldn't be able to play these free games because they wouldn't exist.
I believe the smart ones who prey on the less smart ones are the ones at guilt, because they enrich themselves off the backs of those unable to control, or even understand what's happening to them. Sadly, this isn't a willpower issue, but a nature one.
So instead of firing a those paying for your f2p gaming, wouldn't it be even smarter of you to recognize that they are the ones actually funding it?
I wasn't blaming the Devs tho? I was just saying I stopped playing some gachas due to bad luck, not because the Devs are terrible.
It is definitely a me issue for being burnt out on having bad luck in games like this tho. Some gachas are actually fun gameplay wise, but ofc them just being a lesser, gaming equivalent of gambling can make it less interesting for some, but gachas make a **** ton of money so every Dev has been jumping onboard that train ever since Genshin came onto the scene and made a god knows how many-jillion dollars.
Sorta limiting myself on how many gachas I play anyway. I occasionally spend a bit of money (like £4.99 for the daily passes and *maybe* the battlepass on occasions) if I feel like it but I'm 100% not throwing like £100+ at them willy nilly. Only gacha that's received a decent amount of money is Star Rail since I've been enjoying it despite the many issues it has, and Snowbreak will perhaps get some of my money if I feel like it cus the game is surprisingly fun and I don't have to worry about 50/50 bs thanks to those 100% banners.
I'm personally more on the frugal side of things. Yes I've done a battle pass here and there, and I have rolled for a character I like, but I understand a few things about myself. First I'm not rich. Second I'm not smart nor willing enough to become rich. And third, there are bills to pay and things and people to take care of in real life. So both time and money for games is limited.
The one thing that keeps me at least afloat when playing are events. Doing events will usually reward with resources to power up, to be able to do harder content. Now most if not all gacha games out there follow this strategy of events and "cheap" battle passes to keep players around and updated enough to want to keep playing and hopefully spending. Though we all know that it's the whales that keep most of the game running. But without anyone else to look at them and their maxed gear and high scores, even whales get bored and move on.
So again, while I won't worship them as gods or whatever, I still acknowledge paying players as the ones that allow me to keep playing these games.
I mean Genshin didn't start gachas, but it definitely opened the flood gates considering how popular it is and much money it has made and now everyone wants a piece of the gacha profits.
If Genshin never happened, then we probably wouldn't be seeing as many gacha games as we do these days, especially the bigger ones (and all the open world ones we see nowadays, like ToF and Wuwa)?
It should be next to the tasks button in the lobby. It gives you extracts for Lyfe and some other material. It's a good guide line on what you should be doing.
Every version has an event that runs throughout the version. That event has a shop that sells material you use for leveling characters, weapons, logistics etc. The event always has a better energy ratio than farming them, so it's a good idea to get items you need for leveling from the event first.
It's a good idea to get the "gold" items from the event (every item has a rarity: Green < Blue < Purple < Gold, with gold having the highest rarity and being limited). Other that those and maybe the weapon you can get only the stuff you need from the event shop. You can always farm the non-gold items, but it costs slightly more energy. The energy in this game is called Presence.
The battle pass has some resources you might need when you are starting, but generally the resources aren't worth it. I would advice not to buy it, unless you want the skin, or you want some extra resources when you are starting.
It's a good idea to level a healer and a damage dealer first. You get Yao, Quiet Quitter for free, as well as some extracts and a weapon for her. It's a good idea to level her up as she we will be very useful at the begining. As for damage dealer you get Lyfe (and extracts and weapons for her from the story tasks), who is very good until you find a character you like.
I would advice using Yao and Lyfe at the start until you get a good idea of what you from characters.
The game might seem a bit hard at the begining, especially if you don't have a healer, but it will be become much easier as you level up you character, weapon and logistics. You don't have to worry about meta characters or getting a multiple copies of characters.
Every limited 5* character has a signature 5* weapon and a signature 4* weapon (also called event weapon). The event weapon is available at the event store. Usually we get a normal rerun (this time we have a special rerun where you select the characters you want to roll). When you have a normal rerun the event weapon for the rerun character will also be available in the event store, in the unlimited tab. You can always farm for event weapon that are not in the game from the Operation > Arms Hub. But it costs more evergy compared to the event store.
You can see a good recommendation on what weapon and logistics are good for each character by going to the character (operative) screen, selected the character, pressing the View Details button and the selecting the Recommended tab.
As you play the game you will get normal tickets to roll for non-limited characters (Echo => Duty's Command). You can spend those tickets freely but don't spend any purple gems (digi cash) for rolling there. At the start of the getting you should be getting a lot of those tickets and you will soon be able to get standard 5* character from there.
At some point you will also receive a standard character selector for non-limited characters as you level up and do tasks. Note that this is a different selector from the we will be getting from the mail at the end of January that also has limited characters. I would advice you to save the standard character selector and use it after you won your first 5* stadard character from the echo to avoid getting a duplicate.
Edit: You might also want to take a look at the guide section to see how you can uncencor the game.
ALso wdym by uncensore? is there even something in this game to uncensor? also i just dont understand much about the main event on what to do and what not its kinda confusing to me rn
For example this guide.
The main story tasks are maked in red in this screenshot[ibb.co]
Also my main screen has Lyfe how do i change to another character?
