Don't spend DigiCash on a standard banner, echo for opening standard characters gacha will be given to you gradually anyway, it's better to spend all the DigiCash you earn on limited banners
If you don't have a goal to get into top 1% of players every week in a boss fight (neural simulation), then you can play whoever you want and as you wish. If you have such a goal, I would suggest looking at character guides, taking note of a couple of DPS and a few supports for them and leveling them up first. It's better not to waste money on everything.
Even if you don't try to get into 1%, to close many regular repeating activities you need two teams of 3 chars - 1 DPS and 2 supports in each or in some cases 2 DPS and 1 support
Each patch in game there is an event and event store where you can buy rewards for currency received during event - it is best to spend your energy there and buy rewards there first, they are much more profitable than regular operations
For story, the later chapters will lend you one or more trial characters per stage, some of which can fully solo the content. Story hard mode may be a little too much for a beginning player, but don't forget about it when your characters are good enough to do it, as it also rewards some useful resources.
As for the gacha, this game is a bit different from the usual character gacha that requires you to pull copies of the character from it's specific banner. Here instead, you get fragments, which can be obtained (slowly) from sources other than the gacha, so it's possible to max a character without having to roll for it on it's banner again. Weapons work more like traditional gacha, but here you need to pull only two of them (if orange tier). Though for the most part, a tier 1 orange is more than enough to do all content.
In the end, just enjoy the game, and ask here if you need anything answered.
I was previously playing strinova cuz it was competitive and gacha for skins of the characters and there was a skin i wanted but after calculating i wont get enought to get the character skin idk when the re run will happen and its such a beautiful skin even if i do get it early i might get the gun skin instead of weapon skin so thats also a basically a 50/50 and in rank matches i lost 15 times in a row even though in challange i be MVP 10% of the time and top 2nd 50% of the time so i quit it its both gacha hell and rank hell so i quit that and wanted to try other game to enjoy for now im only playing honkai star rail and pokemon TCG and vrchat
I hope this game is good for me and thanks for the tips
and i downloaded the game yesterday to play today but its on maintainence today TT
Good thing about this game is that there are two different banners for each limited character and weapons. One that has a max pity of 80 pulls but has 50/50 odds and one that has a max pity of 100 pulls with lower base rates but you're guaranteed the character, so if you manage to save up 100 pulls for the limited banners, if you pull on that 100% banner you're guaranteed the character without any 50/50 bs, but doing that would only yield you like one (or two characters if you're lucky) per patch but it's either that, throw money at the game or suffer the usual 50/50 banners and potentially have to waste more pulls than you would need to if you just pulled on the 100% ones.
I also don't play many gachas due to bs luck, so I get the pain of being done with gachas, and I also only really play this game and Star Rail in terms of gachas because I actually have a decent amount of luck in them both. Main deal is to have fun really, but I really do get the pain of being screwed over by gacha luck. Probably would still be playing Wuwa and ZZZ if I didn't have such garbage luck in them and lose 50/50s to the exact same characters multiple times in a row.
Kinda just how gachas are tbh? Layers upon layers of luck and RNG.
It's kinda why I'm limiting myself to just this and star rail atm, since I'm not insane enough to play like 4 or more gachas at once on a daily basis, but I will probably give upcoming games like Arknights Endfield a try and see how my luck turns out during the first few weeks or months?
Here in Snowbreak I had some luck with RNG so I managed to make two teams with a proper dps and supports. It's nothing record breaking, but it gets me by for the content I do.
