Not usually into anime games so....
I came across this by accident on steam and saw YouTube gameplay. I saw tags saying online co-op, so is it worth buying and do you need a permanent online connection to always play this or is there offline play too? Thanks.

worth buying ? it's a free to play gacha game, coop is barebones and yes it's always-online only
Key Jan 16, 2024 @ 7:01am
It's "free to play" up to level 50ish, then it's pretty much pay to play.

With that said the main draw of this game is that there half naked anime chicks running around with guns. Getting this game for the gameplay is like getting fresh tofu cause you're looking for something tasty.

Oh ok always online. Kinda like Path of exile where you need to be online connection to play. It did look good on youtube when i saw a few minutes play, although i did see someone saying they wont be doing any more english voice acting now.

Way to spread some lies! Been playing since day 1.
There's no need to spend money unless you want some skins and passes.
Game has a pretty fair pity system as well as a good amount of freebies to collect during updates.
You can clear all the content with 4* operatives and 3* weapons.
Not to mention you get a free 5* selector after completing chapter 5-12.
Beginner banner guarantees a 5* as well after 50 pulls.
The Stamina system is better than ever at 240 instead of 160.

So your saying I should download it and play it?
I can play for free, like undawn, Undawn was free to play but they threw pay2win in your face with constant advertising of buy this buy that etc, although i never paid for anything, i still did ok and liked the game for months.

you can play it for free, but story need stamina and farming stage too, but event ones dont need stamina
Zepondrax Jan 17, 2024 @ 12:30am
Undawn was bit like that farming stuff like cutting down trees in spare time , PVP etc.
I take it this is PVP or player vs AI enemies? i want to decide whether to download it

It honestly won't hurt to try. It's better to get your own impression of the game. Anyways, to answer your question, it is player vs AI. It also has co-op as well although, quite limited for now.

Player vs Ai sounds good. Co op also sounds good. I'm in the middle of looking to buy a new PC but my current PC should handle it ok. Only issue is I only have personal hotspot to my phone, I think I'll check this game out and download it over the next few weeks or week. I do know it's 20gb download

Lies? There's days in which you barely have enough presence to even play, the rest is just going through menus.

Sure you can go through the game with three to four operatives, without buying any weapon exp and operative exp, the same way you can techincally reach max level in Elden Ring without leaving limgrave. You know full well nobody would ever enjoy doing that once you get to 50 or so. Have you even tried doing that, mr. playing since day 1? How much money have you spent on the game you need to spend no money on to progress?

That is exactly what predatory monetization is, giving stuff to players early on to get them used to something you'll eventually take away, it's a practice so widespread there's memes about it.

No sh*t, when it was 160 people couldn't even play on some days.

Stamina systems shouldn't exist. They are indefensible, period. The only reason to put them in a game is to limit playtime and make people pay to play more, they exist to be predatory. It's the biggest and brightest red flag any game can have.

I swear I can't stand how people defend practices that go against their own interest as consumers.

I'm not against the idea of paying for skins and for operatives, companies need to be profitable, I'm against the stamina system. It's a shi**y practice.

But hey OP, don't listen to either of us, try the game yourself, let's see if you stick around more than a week.

Thanks above person, Undawn was like that, they gave out free stuff at the start, then slowly became all pay2win and every splash screen, every update was"buy this" "buy that" which I kept having to skip through, and even when PVP came around you could see who was paying 2 win and who wasnt, i would always get blown away in PVP because I didnt want to pay2win i just wanted to enjoy the game and its free stuff and the fact of the missions you could do, the events which were all free,

I played Undawn for months as i was hooked on it, but after 4-5 months of it i was slowly getting bored of it because the updates were very slow and missions were slow too, you would finish the 1-2 new missions in 30 mins and then have to wait another 8 -12 weeks for new content.

As i said I only have Phone Connection so i will begin to download this one and when downloaded, eventually, will see what it offers

It's a strictly PvE game and you don't need to buy anything to clear all the contents. 50-60 pulls for a 5* character so it's a fair gacha rate. I'm lvl 60+ now and still haven't seen the lvl 50 break point anywhere so probably a hoax or skill issue.

Anyway I'd say give it a try. If it's not your game then uninstall it and gtfo. Better than staying here and being swayed by opinions from randoms on the internet.

That guy must be frustrated about something. I have all the characters in the game and a good amount of 5 star weapons without spending. I've only bought a skin but that doesn't change my gameplay. You can definitely have fun and don't ever spend in this game.
