There's a tiny flying robot ball next to the boss arena on buddy island. you talk to him and he'll ask you to save his friend. once you save his friend, the exploration island will open up.

I've talked to this robot's friend. And i don't think i've unlocked the other map.
FYI the friend is on the 12 O'clock directional wise if you open the big map.
And like half the radius from the center to the edge of the map.
There is a portal, if you hover your mouse on top of it. It will say, an anomaly portal or something.
So, i have talking with the robot's friend, talking back to the robot, it asked to do something i forgot what it is. And I'm lost afterwards. I think i've unlocked the day night cycle option?
But not the new map.

can't find the mission objective is their a way to see the names of locations or something

never mind apparently you have to zoom all the way out from the default though still having issues finding the objective

You need to get into the cave, which is located approximately in the middle of the map closer to the south side (I entered from the south, there is a lake and next to it entrance to the cave). On map in this cave is marked portal (gray diamond). In the portal you need to talk to small robot and after clearing portal return to robot near the arena with boss in the northwestern part of the island - he will allow you to go to a new island
And to take part in fishing challenge on the new island you need to go to river in the middle of island and there is a pier that crosses that river. On the map it is not standard fishing icon, but a new sign that is slightly different (in form of a fishing hook)
