Will probably wait until the end of the current version to figure things out. I also double checked and I actually have enough for 80 pulls, so more than I thought. Odds are I will most likely have to soft pity / hard pity a character on the 100% ones since I got Infinite Sight at 90 pulls and I don't want to pull until I know for sure I can get the characters, but I could always test my luck with those 80 pulls at some point, or maybe buy some more digicash if I feel like spending?
I saw someone up here complain that you have to spend about 3-4 minutes on a boss... that is a worse case scenario assuming you don't have anyone on you team with a character that is focused on doing any dmg... and that is HIGHLY unlikly due to the fact they have given players the option for a powerful 5 star just for getting to account level 20, and a built 4 star dmg dealer character can complete the multiplayer mission solo if you know their abilites properly. I have beat the multiplayer missions with NIta... who is a tank character that everyone treats like trash. The Main story pretty much carries you with powerful trial characters so you don't have to worry there.
There are hard mode missions as well. Those should be the first real challenge you come across and those mission basically play like the Multiplayer mode... except you get a full 3 girl team under your personal control... where as multiplayer solo litereally makes it one girl vs the entire mission.
The only thing that would make this game hard is if you
1. completely refuse to read any pops up.
2. are so used to being carried that you expect the game to do everything for you
3.are so bad at aiming you shouldn't even being on a shooting game in the first place.
this game allows you to take cover to avoid dmg... which litereally become next to irrelevant even for some of the 4 star characters. Healing is pretty much not needed in most of the game [there are some fights you may struggle but if the game was too easy it wouldn't be as popular as it is]
I haven't been playing this game since the 2nd month of it being out. My first 5 star was Fenny. Which I refused to use. I am a free to play player... and I have nearly every character.
I played the game with Marian, Queen of Pain... a 4 star sniper that requires you to charge your shots for 9 seconds to deal maximum dmg. =/ Just use your brain abit and you will be fine.
3-4 minutes is the standard for new players with weak characters like lionheart, and thats on normal bosses like Gavin or Joseph (regular). Try watching a video of a new player using lionheart against, say, iron ourborous or njall and see how they fare.
The standard 5 stars are not powerful, in fact, you are the first person ive seen claim they are. They are woefully outdated and most require m1 + sig to be decent, which new players dont have access to. The best standard 5 star is coronet and shes requires starshine to be decent (not good, just decent).
People keep saying "i played when the game was new and i did just fine with standard characters". The thing is, the game was designed around those standard characters at the time, there wasnt time for power creep to really kick in yet. Fighting a boss like Ni Type Mech (white) with Lionheart is easy...thats because its literally the chapter one boss and you are expected to use the starter lyfe and fenny to beat it.
Fighting Njall with Lionheart is a whole different ball game. Is it possible? Yes, but it is much harder and will take much longer. Thats why new players struggle with the newer bosses while veterans steamroll them with their meta teams and then wonder why new players are struggling.
It is certaintly possible to beat content as a new player, i did it too, its just much harder and requires way more effort with the resources a new player has access to (not max level operatives or weapons, no proper logistic sets, etc). A veteran can solo hard mode with their t2m1 enigma, ksana, or whatever...and they will say its easy. A new player can bring in a team of 3 standard characters at m0t0 and they will probably need a healer to clear all of hard mode. Huge difference in what you can do with different levels of resources and more knowledge of the game (that a new player wont have).
A truly casual game wouldnt have that problem. In a truly casual gacha game, anyone can easily get all the currency rewards just by clearing easy content, which can be done by any new player with starter characters, minimal investment and no effort at all. That is not the case in this game because you need two decent teams to clear difficulty 4 neural sim (or a LOT of time and a lot of effort), and most players want to clear difficulty 5 to maximize their rewards (even if theres only one time digicash rewards for difficulty 5).
Whats your point?

Turbo isnt top DPS on anything that isnt iron worm in the first place and coronet has the advantage of (usually) much higher manifestation levels. Turbo is also heavily affected by anything that interrupt its damage rotation. That being said, Turbo has a lot of advantages like being able to move quickly and having a spamamble AOE ult to clear mobs quickly, while Coronet is trash in modes with lots of mobs.
The whole idea of you calling FennyCoro trash and decent is just plain wrong when she's still viable top 1% for Neural Boss and that time with Fritia mind you is still get you in 1%, if that aint top dps then i dunno what is pal.
Edit: Problem mobbing with Fenny? Pop her ult, its there, and it does it job as if you havent 1 shot them mobs already.
Started playing late November and so far I think I'm doing pretty decent. Infinite Sight is definitely gonna do me well as DPS for a long time I feel like. I just need to get more characters so I have more variety to play around with.
Also still have that free 5 star standard selector from the level reward, I just haven't used it yet cus I wanna try and pull another 5 star from the standard banner before I pick incase I get dupes. That shouldn't expire I believe so I can use that whenever?
It's not an item though, it's from the event page, but I haven't seen a timer there either so I assume that's probably also permanent?
Dumb me doesn't know how to post images on steam.
The event is called "Elite Recruitment" incase that helps?
