SNOWBREAK

How casual can I play this without pulling for meta and pulling for certain characters
I've played a few gachas so I know what i'm getting into and I'm a light spender but I'm curious to know because some of the character designs in this game are definitely interesting and I'd want to pull on characters regardless of meta, if I can play with and pull for characters that appeal to me visually or if I should be pulling meta?

From what I've seen of this game I like Tess but I've heard she isn't a strong character (plus her banner isn't up yet and probably won't be around for a while), and I like Siris-Ksana and that new outfit of hers despite being aware I'm like a couple weeks late to her banner. Usually on gachas I'll try and pull for a single copy of a character and ignore the weapon / equipment banners since I don't want to blow a lot of money into a game just for power so that's my plan for this game as well, but since I'm already playing some other gachas as well (Mainly star rail atm which is my main game), I don't want to go crazy with the spending.

So yeah, can I just play this the way I feel like and pull for the characters I want or would I be unable to clear certain content without pulling for the meta / strong characters?

on that note, well, should've said this a while ago, but, if you're hunting for a certain limited char, you gonna need to save a lot of event currency to build them, since their weapon cost 1300 currency to max out, and rerolling logistic to get that 10% atk/hp/106 alignment index (depend on what kind of char you get) gonna took quite a lot more

oh, and if you want to max out a char from personal file, you gonna need
M1 M2 M3 M4 M5
60+60+90+120+150 =480 shards, divided by 2/day, you gonna need 240 days for it
All these are non-issues, since the game has no content that requires min-maxing

at least this game gave enough resources to catch up eventually by getting occasional double guaranteed once in a while, and it's still relatively new by being 1 year old

It's a year old but it does sorta feel like I missed quite a bit in terms of events, a lot of freebies including some limited characters outright, 90% of the outfits that won't be on sale indefinitely anymore and the anniversary. Will see how I feel when I play more of this but that lingering feeling doesn't really help tbh?

Not too much of a min-maxer in gachas anyway. It's why I tend to never pull for duplicates or weapons / equipment. The more important part in gachas for me at least is being able to get the characters I want and have some fun with the game.

Okay Infinite Sight's banner is up and I tried her in the trial and she's actually kinda fun. Makes me tempted to pull her since I can guarantee her on the 100% banner but debating if I should still hold on for a long while until I'm aware what banners are next in store which'll be like 2-3 weeks most likely?

No point in overthinking, if you like her just get her, she also happens to be the anniversary unit so it's a pretty safe investment. And if you're new and still have enough permanent content to go through, between now and the end of the next banner you'll easily rack up more than enough currency to guarantee the next character that comes out as well.

Imo go for it! She has a fun gameplay loop and does loads of damage for both single target and aoe content~

Could definitely try and pull for her? Will most likely mean I won't be pulling anything else this patch unless I get insanely lucky though? Still definitely kind of curious as to what's next in store in terms of banners?

Out of curiosity, what is the average amount of pulls you get per patch? I'm assuming it's around 60-80 depending on how much content you do?

Okay I went f it and went on Lyfe Infinite Sight's banner. Got her within 90 pulls which is...Okay I guess? And I have enough for 41 more pulls rn so I should definitely be able to guarantee a character during the next patch at least depending on how much bitgold I'm able to get during the rest of this patch and how much the next patch gives?

You'll be ok bro. For the guaranteed banner I'd say anything before the 100th pull is pretty lucky considering the rates.

Yea. I'll definitely be taking the 100% banners over the 50/50 ones but that'll probably mean I'm pulling at least one character per patch unless I decide to put more money in the game? If I am able to get another 60 pulls before the 18th of december I could also pull on one of the other current banners but I'll probably play the "wait and see what banners are next" game before I do anything else. Fritia Turbo is also a fun character and Shadow Ka's a busted support from what I've heard but one there's zero way to get both before the 18th without spending irl money on my end and for all I know the next banners could be really interesting so like, I already took a risk with pulling rn and now I kinda wanna stockpile on pulls before I do anything else since 40 pulls is not getting me anything unless I'm insanely lucky.

I at least don't regret pulling on Infinite Sight's banner. She's fun to play and does a lot of damage. The revolving Glow dual SMGs are also in the event shop so if I farm enough of that event I can have her running around with a maxed out weapon as well. Not gonna go for the limited weapon banners unless I somehow manage to stockpile enough of them without outright buying them somehow (I have 6 limited weapon pulls rn), but I'm not counting on it.

I got all limited banner character and Lyfe Infinite Sight is the best overall DPS released until now so i suggest to get Nightborne Crown her signature weapon and get her to Manifestation 3.
Other dps:
Siris Ksana is my favourite character for her clearing speed but on some boss is quite difficult to be faster.
Cherno Enigma is the safest dps: you can drop sphere and run and wait to clear enemies or attack and detonate them
Vidya Agave is armor destroyer but not the best dps
Katya DawnWing: probabilly she's the best single target dps but for group and clear speed is meh.
Katya BlueBolt: not bad but Lyfe is way better. She's part of the older dps like Haru Absconditus, Fenny etc that now are quite useless if you had any other mentioned dps
For support....you need Shadow Ka only for neural simulation if you wanna go for the top otherwise any other 4* star healer is enough: Chenxing or Yao quite quitter.
Fenny Starshine is the only support needed if you wanna go for the top with lyfe but she can do alone well

Leave Fritia....sniper are not meant for this game and she's too dependent from her signature weapon.

In conclusion: Lyfe is the best dps character overall get her signature if you can and get her to manifestation 3. With her you can do anything ad decent speed

For banner i suggest to go 100 for character and 50 for weapon. Since there's always a free weapon event that is quite decent (beside Fritia Turbo) if you are luck you get weapo at 45 otherwise if you fail you can always use weapon event

Definitely looking for Siris Ksana's rerun at least. Also glad I got Lyfe Infinite Sight since she's really fun and strong. Fritia Turbo is fun but I already have a good few snipers already and I kinda want to wait and see what banners are in the next patch before I do anything else in terms of pulls. Currently have enough for 50 limited pulls rn.

Never really go full meta / power in gachas since I tend to ignore the limited weapon banners unless I'm somehow able to get enough pulls from other sources which is unlikely. Will most likely have to drop a lot of money to just grab the weapons though so I honestly think I'm good sticking with her event ones which so far is at tier 3. It's gonna put me as a disadvantage in terms of power but usually I can do most end-game content in gachas without the limited weapons so I should be fine on that front? Actually having characters is more important than the weapons IMO.

I'd say, you can have Lyfe Infinite as main (get either purple weapon of her element or her signature weapon for even better dps), have Mauxir Shadow as support and either Fenny starshine as extra support or Eatchel cub as healer. I don't know much about Starshine but a maxed Eatchel will negate almost all damage thrown at you, all passively just for having her sit on your team. It's almost like having a cheat code.

As orange weapons go, I'd say to get at least the one for your main dps, or whataver character you will be using the most on the field. The other two can get purple weapons but make sure they are of the character's own element. You will eventually get to obtain and upgrade other weapons, which should be leveled up until they give you parts for use on all weapons of that type. But don't go out of your way for this as the orange level up consumables needed to get weapons from 50 to 80 are very limited, and you will need them for your main stuff first.

Manifestation can give strong buffs for some characters but it's usually slow to get. You should still grind for them, but don't expect immediate results. Neuronics is faster and should be maxed on all three characters. Though just like weapons, the orange materials needed to get the last few neuronics steps are also limited, so don't splurge on characters you won't use.

Logistics should also be worked on. Orange logistics are easy to come, and they are easy to get to +15 with some farming. The editable extra abilities they have shouldn't be min maxed (because they are a test on patience) but you should at least tune them to something that benefits the character. No use to have +fire damage on a frost character, or +heal on a character that does not heal at all.

My current team of filthy casuals has either Infinite or Turbo as dps, with Shadow and Cub as pretty much permanent subs. I think Infinite benefits more from Shadow as a sub than Turbo, but I like Turbo's super run mechanic.

Shadow is on banner rn but I can only buy 50 pulls atm and no idea when Cub and Sunshine will get rerun? Wish there was a 5 star standard dual smg because it's kinda annoying having to pull for the limited one when I don't wanna go too money crazy on this game?

Manifestions will take a long time to farm but I'd rather do that then spend money to pull duplicates and neuroptics and logistics I can also farm but the stamina system does get in the way so I can only get a certain amount at a time without wasting bitgold. Also at like account lv58 rn and I know the max level is 100 for account level at least (not sure about character levels but I think it goes up to 80 from what I've seen?) so I have a long while until I'm the same level as most other players?

My advice is to take it slow and enjoy what you can play of the game at your level while you build up your account. Do not feel pushed to rush just because others are at higher levels. We all went through the slog that is the grind, after all. Just follow the daily routine and play with what stamina you have. There's no need to pay for more. If a banner ends, another will take it's place, and even if the operative offered is not what you'd want, the event will still have enough resources for you to buff what you already have.

I suppose some of the players who responded to your thread have played for a long while. I myself have been on and off, enough to get account level 100 by doing dailies and skimming through events, which you will get to eventually and without having to spend any money. If you do want to spend, don't make it an habit to buy currency to spend directly on pulls. Just get the battle pass or the quartermaster stuff, but for those to work you must log in daily and do stuff while they last so you can maximize them. Though know that battle passes are more to get resources to buff what you have, than to get rolls for new stuff.

As for the operatives I mentioned, I suspect (but don't take it for granted) that Starshine will have a banner before Cub, since Cub had a recent rerun. Or if we are lucky, the dev could throw a good Christmas event with some orange tier selectors as gifts dropped on our mail. Fingers crossed on that...

Fingers crossed indeed for an orange tier selector. Probably could've used the orange selector I had when I started for a more worthwhile character but I wanted Magician girl so I used that on her.

Do have the daily digicash pass going on atm. Could get the battlepass but not sure if it's worth it atm since I'm not in any mad panic for resources and the battlepass outfit doesn't interest me in the slightest. The only regret I have getting into this game is not getting into it way sooner, especially before like 90% of the outfits got discontinued.

I've played a good few gachas before so I'm aware at how things work. I don't tend to drop into gachas this late however so while part of me does want to catch up, I do get that I shouldn't rush it and take my time. Currently intend to save up pulls and currency until I'm aware of what the next banners consist of. Turbo is fun but I currently only have enough for 50 pulls and I don't wanna spend for her specifically at least, and Shadow Ka is a great support but again, I don't feel the urge to spend for her specifically either. Mainly just the question of if I can get 50 more pulls before the next patch or not, but depending on what's upcoming, I may or may not be doing anymore limited pulls this patch?
