Not high playerbase?
I wonder, do you think this game has future in our region considering not many ppl play it here and they even cancelled engish voice overs?
I'm just starting, have like lvl 4 and just wondering if there is future for this game in your opinion?

Once these games go into 'maintenance mode' the costs to keep things running vs any revenue generated makes them very hard to kill. They also tend to inch closer and closer to pay to win by that point. Katya wasn't a good sign in that regard.

Steam population is not indicative of the profitablity of this game. Game has a great PC client not to mention mobile ports. A developer interview was released recently and the game has made a substantial amount of money since they went all in on fan service and better events. As well as cutting English VA's. I miss the dub actors but legacy operatives are still English as well as combat dialogue. Aether Gazer cut English VA's too no one on their end is crying EoS.
Considering the game can be played through Epic, Standalone Client, Steam and Mobile.
Do NOT use Steam Playercount.
Game is not even in Maintenance mode and has made a LOT of profit if you look at the Sensory Monthly Profit of all the Gacha games.

Uh... ain't 500,000 quite low? Not sure how much costs maintaing and developing of such game but I feel it's a bit low.

Sensor Tower is a bit iffy with those numbers. A majority of their income about 70% comes from PC so they made around $1,300,000 USD last month not including their main market in Asia.

Nah it's pretty hard for a mobile gacha game to die, Whales keep it alive most of the time, if anything it'll grow from here. Playerbase numbers on Steam don't indicate anything, 95% of the playerbase is on Mobile. (Im glad they gutted English VA's but it sucks for others who rely on them but i use JP voices so it's not a problem for me)

Is this game even playable on mobile?
I can't imagine that.

It started as a Mobile then expanded to PC through EGS and Standalone Client then onto Steam.

You asking if this game is playable when there is Genshin and Tower of Fantasy both are even faster paced, resource heavy and open world...

I guess he mean it's playable as a shooter on mobile cause genshin & tower are not a shooter game so it's a little bit diferent even if they take more ressource

i just started this game today and damn this is too easy... there is some difficult later?...

Yeah, don´t worry , it´s getting harder. The first few hours ( have around 15 now ) , I had the same feeling. The first hours serve as a tutorial, later on you have more options to choose harder missions.
But even the easy ones I had fun and enjoyed the setting.

I love this game but i'd like some new way to play game.

as long as its over 500 or 600 daily. its fine. ive seen games that has less than 100 players, and it was released a month ago. and you arent counting the people who are playing on mobile, and on epic games store.
also, theres always a time difference.

Considering that there is no marketing and I just found out about the game and it says "released december 23rd" I am pretty sure if more people knew about it, it might pop off like crazy... Honkai Starrail is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game and this seems much better with active combat and JP VA sounds cool aswell.
