is it just me or the performance is awful in this game?. i play on the pc client but have tried steam and even on low settings there is so much stuttering and frame dropping. its the only thing that makes me want to not play.

Do you have AMD card or Nvidia? I asked devs if they can fix it (it's most likely cache generation issue with UE4 which should be trivial to fix) but they just ignore me and this issue...

I switched from exclusive full screen to bordered (or windowed, I don't remember the exact label) and my FPS smoothed out. Still some microstutters, but I'm getting high FPS

For me: set Limit frame rate 90, then V-sync on (60).
Game run sthooth no stutter.
You should try set frame rate above your monitor refesh rate and turn V-sync on.
