50% Banner has higher chance of getting SSR character, BUT there is only a 50% chance its the featured character other 50% is another SSR character from standard banner.
Basically 100% you get the character in 100 pulls Max. 50% banner you get the character in 160 pull only IF you lose 50/50. You will get an SSR in 80 Pulls max tho
50% banner = 72 rolls on avr to get SSR character at 50% chance
It's obvious which one is better.
Naturally, most people know which unit they want to get, which means that the 100% banner is better for them. It's a much better deal if you want to get a specific character, since it removes the random cost element assuming you expect to pull until pity (if you get an SSR sooner, you're guaranteed the one you want and you just saved some pulls).
TL;DR: If you don't know who you want to pull, go 50%. Otherwise, go 100%.
Wait what? I've been gone for a while, I heard that the dev is toying with the idea of a guaranteed limited banner character and this is what they chose to do, basically the same thing PGR did?
